Gothika - answers? [SPOILERS]

Ok, saw this last night and, forgive me if I'm being a total idiot here, but did I miss something??

Was it me or was there like two seperate plots/mysteries running alongside each other? 'Cause it seemed to me that only one of them was explained (poorly) at the end, and that was the tattoo guy who was raping Cruz's character.

Where was the explanation to how Halle Berry's character ended up in that hospital and couldn't remember killing her husband? Did I miss that bit? 'Cause as much as I can remember there was no reference to it whatsoever during the last half of the movie.
And ALSO, if the ghost was trying to tell Halle Berry about the murder and everything, why did she beat the shit out of her in her cell?

I just didn't get what the whole movie was trying to say. :confused: I've probably missed a key point but I don't get it. :(

Okay , The ghost of the girl who eveyone thought commited suicide (we found out that it was the fat black guy who killed her) went into Halle Berry's body at the beginning of the movie and possessed her, went home killed the black guy and then left her body. So...of course everyone thought it was Halle Berry who murdered him, that's why she woke up in the loony bin.

As for the ghost beating the shit out of her I don't know, this movie sucked, and was very badly written.
