Part 4...Alternate Deaths?

I recently got the fantastic Nightmare Boxset and am watching the films in order for the first time. Anyway, I was watching part 4 today and I could have sworn that Kincaid's death was different to how I remembered it.

In the first version I saw, about 3 years ago on tv, I could have sworn that I saw Kincaid get killed by having a car droppped on top of him. Yet here he is simply stabbed by Freddy's glove.

I'm either imagining things or there is an alternate death. Anyone know?
Maybe I just confused it with the bit where the car is dropped on Freddy.

Also, it was a blast seeing Robert Englund dressed up as that nurse! :D
I recognised him almost immediately and it was so funny.

Kincaid never really had a car dropped on him, just a bunch of cars dropped around him. Then while he was running around trying to avoid the cars, he falls, Freddy picks him up and stabs him.

Kinkaid dropped a car on Freddy minutes before being stabbed. I guess you confused that.
