Title: Top Gun
Starring: Tom Cruise
Released: 16th November 2004
SRP: $19.99

Further Details
Paramount Home Entertainment has officially announced the new collector's edition of Top Gun which stars Tom Cruise as Maverick, a talented training pilot in an elite U.S. school for fighter pilots. This brand new two-disc set will be available to own from the 16th November this year, and should retail at around $19.99. The film itself will be presented in 2.40:1 anamorphic widescreen along with English 6.1 DTS Surround, Dolby Digital 5.1 EX and Dolby 2.0 Surround tracks. Extras will include an audio commentary by producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Tony Scott, screenwriter Jack Epps, Captain Mike Galpin, retired Admiral Pete Pettigrew and Vice Admiral Mike McCabe, six documentaries on the making of the film and its cultural impact, from pre-production through its theatrical release and four music videos that defined their era: Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone,” Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away,” Loverboy’s “Heaven in Your Eyes” and Harold Faltermeyer and Steve Stevens’ “Top Gun Anthem”. Completing the package will be a vintage Tom Cruise interview, a behind-the-scenes featurette, a survival Training featurette, multi-angle storyboards with an optional commentary by director Tony Scott and seven original TV spots. I'm afraid the artwork is not yet available, but we'll bring you that as soon as it becomes available. Stay tuned.

Yeah, $19.99USD is not bad at all... but no, I don't see any particular reason why I should pick this up.

I haven't seen this movie in a long time. I'll definitely check it out again, though.

It's an action classic. The only reason I haven't picked it up over tha last 3 years is because that's how long this SE has been rumored.

Can't wait!

HAHAHA!

No, but The Animal and Fast & The Furious: Extra Special Super-Duper Collector's Limited-Within-This-Quarter-Of-This-Year Extreme Overdone Superfluous Additional Trailer For Part 3 Version 1.72 is well deserving of their release(s)! :D :D

I think it's cool to have an SE of this come out. I never bought the barebones edition, because I think it's bullshit to not have an SE. So, now I'm probably gonna get it. I think this movie is good - almost cheesey - times!

ooh.....highschool flashback of seeing this in the theater and my friend doing his annoying "launch the plane" manuever and getting showered with sodas and popcorn......
