U2 Scale Dizzy New Heights On November 21st...

No...they aren't planning to climb Mount Everest.

U2's new album Vertigo will hit the stores on November 21st. It will be preceded sometime in October by a new single, also called Vertigo, that will be released to radio stations sometime in September. Personally I can't wait to hear this. Advance word suggests the band have adopted a heavier rock style featuring some very noisy guitar sounds courtesy of The Edge. I have a good feeling about this.

U2 deserve every ounce of respect. I'm really looking forward to their latest offering...I admire the lads 'wipe the slate clean' approach and they seem to mature with each album.

I doubt they'll disappoint.

Well, Vertigo has hit the airwaves and I for one LOVE it.


When I heard it make it's debut on the radio, my initial thought was, "A good classic rock/punk sounding tune, but nothing special." Then I gave it a few more listens online and it's CATCHY AS HELL!!! Especially the chorus and the way they kick into it:


"Hello, hello. I'm at a place called Vertigo..."

Well I just this second finished listening to it for the first time...and I fucking love it. I read a while ago that they were going to rock out on this album and this song supports that claim. A cracking song...and I don't doubt it's gonna get better after another few listens.
