It says on here (http://www.melonfarmers.co.uk/hitsn.htm) (if you scroll down) that the Nightmare on Elm Street dvd is cut. Is there dvd version (Region 2 or Region 0) that's uncut?

Dvd comparison site Rewind has this to say:

Wes Craven reveals in the commentary that the censors required a cut to the scene showing Tina's death. When she falls from the ceiling, the scene cuts to Rod as she hits the bed (rather than continue to show a splash of blood as her body hits the bed). This was an original cut from the original film BEFORE any theatrical release and Rewind User Scott Atkinson has confirmed that the R2 version is the same.

I don't know about an uncut one. Sorry. Hope that helps.

i read on the boards a while ago that there was a UK video of the film containing the scene, although i think it is now unavailable
