Fox Home Entertainment's The Girl Next Door sold more than 700,000 DVDs on its first day of release, mostly driven by the unrated version. The Hollywood Reporter says DVD sales are expected to top the film's $15 million box office gross by week's end.

That's excellent. I loved TGND (downloaded it off the internet). It's a very underrated movie that deserved more.

I thought this movie was fantastic. It wasnt another teen comedy where they run a bunch of shit jokes and nudity, this movie flirted with the vulgar and stayed within a romantic comedy frame, its like a breath of fresh air.

10/10...

This thrills me as well! I also gave it a 10/10 and LOVED the hell of it!

I wish the movie did well in theaters but I'm glad it's finding an audience on DVD!

As one of the five people in the entire world who hated this movie, I'd just like to say...WHY?!

It was a decent movie, too many plotholes though (the bank scene anyone?). Gotta love that crack shot of Elisha as she was stripping down though...:D

Same here, although I didn't hate it. I can't believe people are giving this 10/10..to each his own, I suppose. IMO, if it hadn't been for Timothy Olymphant the movie would have reeaaallly sucked.

Timothy Olyphant steals every scene he is in...and that is heavy considering elisha cuthbert is a fucking fox. Yeah this movie is more like a 6/10, it has a few funny bits, but its very 'sweet' and 'romantic'...more than i thought it would be.

I wasn't going to comment on this until I saw one bit on Amazon..

While it suffered a nearly unanimous beating from critics

AWESOME NEWS!!!

My second favorite movie of the year so far (9/10 behind Eternal Sunshine) despite the fact that yes it is flawed, it's damn entertaining! I've already watched it 7 times :p

It reminds me of the movie Cruel Intentions in that both of them have had the same reaction for me. Both are flawed in many ways, but I just can't help being damn entertained whenever I watch them. I have to admit I'd rather see Cruel Intentions or Girl Next Door another time than several of my 20 favorite movies :p. Dare I go as far as to say that if my list were based on pure entertainment/rewatchability, both of them would be on it?

this movie was smart, funny, entertaining, sexy and unlike different comedies it didn't have any crude humor like people farting and that's good.also elisa cutbert is so damn hot.after seeing it on dvd now it's one of my favorite movie ever made.10/10
