If our dreams came true and they made an Evil Dead 4.
What kind of movie should it be?
Should it be like?
Evil Dead
Raw, with lots of gore and a serious tone.
Evil Dead 2
Good scares and weird woody fun with a slice of cheese.
Army Of Darkness
More adventure than horror with great one-liners, and some 3 stooges gags thrown in.
Or if you wanted to take elements of each movie.
What would they be?
Also, Ash has had a chain saw and a mechanical hand.
What kind of weapon or device should it be in ED4?
I know, nothing is cooler than the chain saw.

When asked on his website, is there going to be an Evil Dead 4? Bruce Campbell quite simply said,NO!
But hypothetically, "IF" there was going to be another. I would have Ash, have his final battle right where it all beagn. Having everything come full circle, Hail to the King Baby!

I think he would have the hand at first. Then take it off for the chainsaw when it was time for business.

I think an Evil Dead 4 right now would be more mass pleasing than a homeage to the originals, even if Raimi took the chair. Which isn't too bad.
However, if there's another Evil Dead, it better be like the first, if it was like the second or the third, people today would look down at it.

Much as I would like it to be more like the first 2 I gotta feeling it would be an action/adventure flick, that way it would probably get a low age rating so it will get around to all the little kiddies.

I'd want ED 4 to be more of a sci-fi horror/action film. I'd like to see it take place in the future with Ash agasint a world of deadites.

I'm fine Sam Raimi possibly, making a fourth "Evil Dead" movie... just so that New Line Exec's will stop begging to use Ash for FvJvA. I'm not the biggest fan of this franchise, but I don't hate them either.
"The Evil Dead" was weirdly enjoyable flick, but the possession carnage got redundant after a while - **1/2 / ****
"Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn" was a better movie (***). Despite the distracting side characters, I really enjoyed this one. It had crazy, crazy scenarios that I couldn't help but enjoy and laugh at.
"Army of Darkness," I think, is the weakest of these movies (**). The crazy scenerios were there ahd Bruce Campbell had great presence as Ash, but in the end this flick was just too over the top.
I really wouldn't mind seeing another "Evil Dead," just as long as Sam Raimi directs it and doesn't overdo the cheese factor. I'd want it be raw like the original, crazy and creative like "2," and NOT over the top like "Army of...". I basically want it be like second movie.
Premise of "Evil Dead 4" - A bunch of teenagers/young adults check out that creaky cabin in the creepy woods. Ash returns to the past to warn them, but it is too late - they are already being possessed/repossessed by evil spirits, and the damn demon out is out lurking in the woods.
Goal: make teenagers NOT annoying, retain creepy atmosphere of first two movies, and let Ash steal the show (with his chainsaw and boomstick of course).

I'd go see Evil Dead 4, but it probably wouldn't be that good. I want a horror movie, as Evil Dead 1 and 2 were. But my impression is that Sam Raimi tries to work with popular genres and the popular genre now is not horror but action (as it was when Evil Dead 3 came out).

It would be shit. I'm sorry to say it, but it would. Army Of Darkness is the least popular of the three, even though it had a much higher budget than the first two combined, it just doesn't cut it.

Actually its the other way around in my book. The average fan typically emjoys AoD more

What type of film would EVIL DEAD 4 be? A comedy no doubt.
Wasn't really all that excited about the 2 sequels. The original remains my favourite. It did have winks of a comedic nature, but mostly played it straight regarding ballsy gore and shit-your-pants scare tactics. ;)

I not sure what kind of flick it would be except for an entertaining one (as long as Raimi and Campbell are a part of it) If they made this movie and it sucked I would leave the theater knowing that some Mutha is gonna die tonight.
