I liked Hulk for what it was. It wasnt EXACTLY true to the comic, but Ang's vision brought an element of realism to this big green THING. I, for one, welcome the little guy back

I liked the film ok, but would have enjoyed it more if it weren't so damn slow and if the majority of the action scenes weren't in complete darkness. It made the viewing experience unsatisfying.

Let's hope this one's better.

I DO however wish there was never mention of Hulk DOGS. That was dumb. And Bruce's dad, what was he?

But I like ALL of the characre sides of the movie. Thats what made it better than just Hulk Smash!

Yeah, I'm not so sure what exactly Bruce's father was supposed to be. I suppose he was a poor man's version of The Absorbing Man?

If Hulk 2 is a go, I see it doing for the Hulk franchise, what X2 did for the X-Men franchise. Since the backstory is completely out of the way, and can now finally focus on other aspects.

Bana returning would be nice. And I hope the beautiful, gorgeous, stunning, and uber sexy Jennifer Connelly, returns as well. Although I'm not sure how likely that would be right now.

But even if Jennifer decides not to return for Hulk 2, maybe she will consider Superman. As I think she would be perfect for Lois Lane. But only if Caviezel is cast as Superman.

Ugh. This is one comic-book sequel I don't care to ever see. Unless, of course, if the director can turn it into a superior, more entertaining sequel. The Hulk was just one severely lethargic and disappointing comic-book film.

Despite being a total turd of a film Hulk did pretty good business so you can see the logic I guess.

Bana was rubbish as Banner though so hopefully he won't return.

In fact the only actor to do his part justice was Sam Elliott as Thunderbolt Ross.

Make him the focus in Hulk 2 : The Thunderbolt Strikes Twice.

If they make a sequal this will, unfortunately, probably happen. I think it's unfortunate because I actually thought the action sequences were the weakest thing about the first one. Whenever the movie focused on the characters (Bana, Connelly, Elliot and atleast until the ending, Nolte as well) I thought it was compelling. But I didn't think the CGI was particularly great and that lessened the action sequences IMO.


I would say that I HATED the ending! The last 10-15 minutes of the movie is AWFUL! So I seem to be in the minority in thinking that the Hulk movie was flawed but good.

I don't know about a sequal though. Like I said, the sequal would probably contain more action and so that means the CGI better be a MAJOR improvement to satisfy me!

I loved the first too, pal, and that's why I'll never watch the sequel unless Ang Lee and the original cast return.

The original Hulk film was something special because Ang Lee wove a strong, emotional narrative and backstory into the character while still knocking us out with incredible action pieces that were elegant in their brutality and sheer force.

If Ang Lee doesn't return, you can expect that narrative to go right out the window....along with the chances of a good film.

Well, I guess the first 'official' announcement comes from an article in USA Today, that says Jennifer Connelly will indeed return for Hulk 2.
