I'm making this thread in order to ask about how many films each of us have seen between the time that school/work ended and the time that school/work started again. I had about 88 days off, and I watched about 3 movie a day for about every single day, so that equates to about 264 movies this summer. How about you guys?

I actually counted for an article I wrote for the campus newsletter, but I included movies from the beginning of May until the end of August. All in all, for the summer, I caught a grand total of 216 movies (including "MST3K" episodes and shorts). Not bad, not bad...

I saw quite a few, but not as many as I would've liked to. This is probably one of the weakest summers for movie watching I've had since '98, I guess. I had a lot going on, and didn't always have enough time. It got frusturating at times, but ah well.

I'm too lazy to count, and I don't really care about bragging rights, so...
I have been to the theaters almost twice a week, and watch at least one movie a day at home.

I haven't kept a count, and I don't actually stop working during the summer (you lucky bastards!! :D) but if I had to guess the amount of new movies I've seen since Van Helsing came out (which was the official start of the movie season), it would be 25.

I saw 50+ movies over the summer.
I had the best movie going summer ever. In the face of the blockbuster where wolves are the bad guys in movie about climate change, a superhero movie about facecream, the village, with what sounds like the worst plot twist ever, and the worst looking dracula ever, I went to see this many summer movies- zero. I watched 3 new movies over the summer- Fahrenheit 9/11, Oldboy, and the machinist. And I've had a fucking great time.
Fuck all that hollywood bullshit.

I didn't count, but I assume I saw 100-110 (re-watches included, of course). Not that bad of a summer, I'd say, but I've done better.

Oy vey. I saw 50 movies in theatres, and many of them several times (twas free as I used to work there). As for on video...couldn't tell you. I probably clocked in 2 a day on average, for say 3 months...roughly 180 I spose.
As far as top 10 goes, I can barely remember when I watched most of the movies, summer or not. But my first viewing of the JFK's director's cut happened recently, and I was fucking amazed. I couldn't believe I would be interested for roughly 4 hours, much less riveted for the entire running time. It may be my favourite movie ever, on a first viewing, which has never happened before, but it shows how much I enjoyed it, and how quality a flick it is.
