Law is in 4 new or soon to be new releases. Like Colin Farrel a couple years ago. After 2 films I wouldn't want to see his mug anywhere for a couple of years.

He actualy commented about your complaint in a interview with Sky Captain, he did all these movies at different time, but hes got no control over when they get released.

Thats a matter of your opinion. He awright in my books moviewise but Jude is on the top of his game in movie roles. So at the moment, he aint goin nowhere. :D

I actually like Jude Law a lot. I loved how cold and dark his performances in A.I. (his performance was the best part of the movie for me, I didn't like it all that much) and Road to Perdition. Although I think he's a great all-around actor, I'd love to see him in more roles like those instead of nice, cheerful ones like Sky Captain.

I regret that I initially gave him an enthusiastic YAY when I came unto this thread. After his performances in SKY CAPTAIN, ALFIE, I HEART HUCKABEES (what I saw I hated), and CLOSER (great movie, but Law was awful), I absolutely can't stand him. Even A.I. and COLD MOUNTAIN can't make up for the above.

One of the most overexposed actors working today, and undertalented to boot.

I first noticed Jude back in 1998 when I saw Wilde on late-night cable, and, along with his exceptional beauty and body that he showed off in a few graphic sex scenes, I was impressed with his acting. The character he played in that film was so whiny, spiteful, self-absorbed and selfish, yet the way Jude played him, you just can't help liking him (just a little bit).

I just saw Closer earlier today and I have to say it is one of his better performances. Still have yet to see any of his other films released last year (but I will be buying Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow on DVD tomorrow after work) but he has done other impressive roles as well, such as eXistenZ and Enemy at the Gates, and of course, the roles that he was nominated for, Cold Mountain and The Talented Mr. Ripley.

After seeing Closer, I do wish he'd been nominated for that film, but alas. I plan on seeing Closer again, either in theaters or on DVD, not just because I thought it was a very absorbing and fascinating film but also, I'd get to drool over Jude and Clive Owen again. :p

BTW, there are screencaps of his nude scenes from his earlier work floating around...

I'm on the fence as far as my feelings for Mr.Law. It seams the more I see of him, the less I like him. Although he was brilliant in Huckabees and Gattaca.
