This from TLC:

JWFan.net is reporting that they have received confirmation from Warner Brothers that the composer for the Goblet of Fire film will be Patrick Doyle. Patrick Doyle is a well known film composer, having worked with Goblet director Mike Newell previously on Donnie Brasko and Into the West. Other film scores by Patrick Doyle include those from many Kenneth Branagh films such as Henry V, Frankenstein, and Hamlet.
The first three Harry Potter films were scored by composer John Williams.
We can not yet confirm this, and will update as soon as possible.

That's bad news IMO. I absolutely loved JW's scores for the first three movies....

I'm not a big fan of Williams generally but I did like his Potter scores.

They'll have to use a lot of his refrains anyway I should imagine.

Oh No. My worst fears have been confirmed...well...to-be-confirmed to be more accurate.

I love Williams, he is a genius in himself. Patrick better stay faithful to the theme!!!

Williams is a genious at his art, probably the best today. In the last Potter flick he did change his style a little and it didn't sound very John Williams-ish. If the new composer stays true to the style then I've got nothing against the change, the theme will be there anyway. Just as long as they don't try anything too new and over the top, I'm okay with this.

Williams' Potter stuff was great. Some of his better stuff. But Doyle is very good as well. I'm not worried at all. Plus, he has a shorthand with the director, which always helps.
