For me, I'm going to have to say Vanilla Sky. I liked the movie a lot, but it still left me somewhat puzzled. Some things just didn't click after the first viewing, but it was still a kick ass movie. I will have to see it again, when I BUY it.

I probably would go with Memento. It was a great movie, but it was somewhat confusing for me.

Easily, Vanilla Sky.

I had no clue to what the hell was going on until the final 10 minutes. It is a good film, better than the overrated Memento.

Vanilla Sky left me puzzled until the finale, and it had alot of aftermath. A brilliant film was that...

Interestingly, he had quite the opposite effect on me.

(Kidding idealdiscountdude. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif )

Memento was easily the best movie of the year, and one of the best of all-time, but it didn't puzzle me. Everything came together perfectly the first time for me. Nothing didn't work.

The most puzzling movie in a good way was Ghost World. At first, I hated the ending. As time passed and I thought about it more, I liked it more. And as more and more time passed, I started to realize how great that movie really was.

Most puzzling in a bad way was the overrated pile of crap that is Vanilla Sky. The ending seemed to go to another movie, not the one that had bored me for hour and 45 minutes. To me, Vanilla Sky proved that a movie could be unpredictable, have a great talent like Cameron Crowe behind it and a very good cast and still suck.

I haven't seen it yet, but I heard Mulholland Dr. can be pretty puzzling. Anybody seen it and know for sure?

Lets not forget Planet Of The Apes. I know many think it sucks, but you must admit, you had a question mark on your face when the credits started to roll...

I forgot about Planet of the Apes. I liked the movie, a 7/10 or so, but the ending was kinda 'puzzling'. I didn't get sorta what happened. I mean I know what happened, obviously, but not quite. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/confused.gif

Mulholland Dr. was the most puzzling for me this year. Good but after watching it I had no idea why it was good. Need multiple viewings to really understand it. I figured it out with a little help from the computer.

Vanilla sky. Puzzled why it was made in the first place.

Mulholland Drive would be my vote as well. It was also one of my best of the year, and while I did know what I loved about it, I like your statement of "after watching it I had no idea why it was good" that is esxactly how I felt after watching the infamous "Backwards-speaking dwarf in the red room" in Twin Peaks. "Wait, wha-? ...Brilliant" http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif

*SPOILERS* *SPOILERS*

"Mulholland Drive" would get my vote. I'm still debating this movie, especially the scene of miniature people crawling out a mysterious box and then terrorizing Naomi Watts. It was the first movie I'd ever seen in which afterward someone in theater threw up their arms and said "What the fuck was that?!"

Mind you, that's not necessarily a bad thing.
