I went to see Rollerball last night and MY GOD!! If you EVER want to see how bad one movie can get, see Rollerball. It is the worst movie I will probably view in my life. I found myself looking at the theatre lights for heaven's sake!
I'm going to spoil the movie, even though what I tell you won't matter b/c it is already spoiled:
1)CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. We knew NOTHING about Chris Klein's character from the beginning. He was street luging down San Francisco when LL Cool J rescued him from the police. He then asked him if he wanted to play a sport called Rollerball in Eastern Asia. THERE WAS NO DEBATE ON WHETHER HE SHOULD GO OR NOT! The next scene was 4 months later and he was there playing Rollerball! And Romijn-Stamos' character too. It looked as if she hated Klein, but the next 10 minutes she put his head in her chest. Which by the way, we didn't see any!
2)PLOT. Where was it? There was no story to this movie. It was quick, confusing, pointless and SO COMPLETELY UNINTERESTING. I was most sad when I finished my root beer and had NOTHING TO DO.
3)WHAT WAS WITH THE NIGHT-VISION CAMERA?? Possibly the only DECENT part of the movie was the "escape" and they ruined it by using the blurry night-vision camera. I thought I was watching the Blair Witch with a green hue plastered over it
