I haven't heard about this movie, then I saw the trailer. Looks like it might be interesting. I came up with a similar idea about 5 years ago, and just left it on the page, and didn't go anywhere with it.

Good cast, and just might be creepy enough... BUT, trailers for "horror/thriller" have been disappointing in the past, so we'll have to see.

Anyone?

I'm resting my faith in this flick solely on Michael Keaton, who really needs to pull through with this to make it back on the Hollywood A-List. And he deserves it too - the guy had a career that just dipped utterly and completely.
The concept is cool enough, but the trailer is rather rudimentary if you ask me - nothing spectacular, too much emphasis on facts rather than the movie, and it just seems like any other paranormal flick. Glad that it was separated from The Sixth Sense by a few years, because that would have taken away from the idea/concept put to play.

the trailer reminded me of the twilight zone for some reason.

I liked the trailer even if it was a bit Ringish. I also liked its emphasis on facts in the begg.

The thing that creeped me out the most was the voice saying "Get out... Of my house"

I like Michael Keaton a lot, but the trailer makes me laugh hysterically. It's so super duper serious, it ends up being super duper silly. And the way it claims to be about such disturbing subject matter is so lame.

I like the premise and i hope the " voices " from a distant past thing is explored in some sort of detail , because i already know it will devolve into a showdown with some restless , most likely evil spirit in the third act ( hope i'm wrong ) . Before that though , i'd like to see some exploration of the subject matter . So , i do want to see this , it has some sort of a Mothman feel to it , and i liked that film .

The trailer gave me severe goosebumps. When I got home I did research and I'm really starting to believe that maybe this EVP thing is possible...scared myself so much I can't sleep well at night sometimes.

Isn't this based on the theory that any sound can get trapped in the atmosphere and subsequently picked up by radio waves ( more of an echo not the actual deceased person talking in real time from beyond the grave ) , that would kind of like be what happened in Frequency .

I've been totally into the whole paranormal, haunting, EVP thing for a long time, so this movie has really peaked my interest... providing they don't go all cheese on the ending... man I hope they don't cheese out then ending.

Is this the same idiot trailer that spends the whole thing explaining how the subject is so disturbing that we're going to barf or some nonsense? I saw that preview in the theaters and people howled in laughter after it ended.

You got it. And I could not agree more. The trailer is hysterical. Seriously, what are the chances that this is good? What are the odds that it's some sort of The Sixth Sense, sneaking up out of nowhere to terrify millions and make tons of money? I would say slim to none.

I dont know if the finshed product will be quality or not, but i like Keaton and the trailer was friggin great without giving away every little jolt in the movie.(like most horror trailers tend to)

What makes you so sure the trailer doesn't give away every little jolt in the movie (in an effort to lure as many viewers as possible to a Michael Keaton movie)?
