I'll give it a try...can't guarantee the results though. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif Let't see...
Johnny Depp -- 6.5
I think he's better than the average actor.
Sean Penn -- 7.0
Talented actor, I'd like to see more of him...
Robert De Niro -- 9.5
He can do just about anything, and has boatloads of talent.
Brad Pitt -- 7.5
I think he's generally more talented than people give him credit for, and I'd put him alongside Tom Cruise for being underrated because of his looks.
Robert Redford -- 8.0
A hard one to rate. He's an excellent actor, lots of presence.
Matt Damon -- 7.0
I'd say he's almost even with Brad Pitt, but probably a little less than him. Surpised me with his performance a couple of times. NO, Good Will Hunting was not one of them.
Ben Affleck -- 5.0
He strikes me as an average actor.
Tom Hanks -- 8.0
Very versatile, capable of very powerful performances. Generally has good taste in the roles he chooses, too.
Jimmy Stewart -- 8.0
One of the top 3 most enduring male screen presences on the century. He doesn't have a WHOLE lot of range, but almost every performance he gave was fantastic.
Keanu Reeves -- 4.5
An average actor who I do genuinely enjoy seeing, but not especially talented.
Marlon Brando -- 10.0
The legend, and to my mind the second or third greatest actor of the century. The man's influence is immense.
Edward Norton -- 8.5
One of the greatest talents to emerge in the last 10 years, this guy's future is very bright.

10-marlon brando-icon to every actor in the past 50-60 years, even though he's a fat slob now.
jimmy stewart-the first nice-guy,tom hanks 50-60 years ago
robert deniro-the man for obvious reasons
9- robert redford-the first brad pitt...but a better actor than when he was pitt's age.
tom hanks-the nice guy, very consistent for past 10 years
sean penn-would be considered greater if he isnt such a prick to hollywood
8- edward norton-still very young... a 10 in 8-10 years.
brad pitt-very underrated, former pretty boy,now pretty boy that can act his ass off.
johnny depp-the ulitimate badass in the past 10 years if you ask me... great because he doesnt care what people think about him
7- matt damon-still seen as pretty boy... but should be seen for more than that.
5- keanu reeves-can be good...if he wanted to be."whoa dude" persona keeps him down
ben affleck-most over-rated actor in hollywood... good in good will hunting then forces of nature, pearl harbor, reindeer games were made.

Johnny Depp - 7/10
A bit overrated. I respect him for choosing interesting roles, but a better actor would make those roles really soar.
Sean Penn - 8.5/10
I wish he would act more. He was phenomenal in DEAD MAN WALKING.
Robert De Niro - 9.5/10
When he's at his best, no one's better. I would've given him a 10, except he hasn't shown me he could do Shakespeare yet.
Brad Pitt - 6.5/10
Like Depp, he's willing to take risks. He's trying his best to overcome his good looks, but getting pummelled and bloodied up isn't always the solution.
Robert Redford - 7/10
He has improved with age. He has limited range. But what he does, he does well.
Matt Damon - 6.5/10
He hasn't lived up to his potential. I don't think THE BOURNE IDENTITY is the way to go.
Ben Affleck - 4/10
Not as consistently bad as Keanu. But at least Keanu has THE GIFT.
Tom Hanks - 7.5/10
He doesn't live up to all the Oscar hype. It remains to be seen whether he can actually play a bad guy.
Jimmy Stewart - 8/10
A slightly better version of Tom Hanks, but equally typecast.
Keanu Reeves - 4.5/10
He gives the worst line readings. But I prefer him over Ben Affleck because he seems like a nice guy.
Marlon Brando - 9.5/10
His disrespect for the acting profession somehat diminishes my respect for him.
Edward Norton - 8/10
He has given great performances, but he hasn't really been in a great film yet. PRIMAL FEAR and AMERICAN HISTORY X were better than average made-for-tv films. And I'm one of those who was underwhelmed by THE FIGHT CLUB.

Johnny Depp 6.0
Films are usually from the 18th Century, not my type all the time, but is a decent actor.
Sean Penn 5.5
I am Sam helped, but thats it
Robert De Niro 10
Too good to be true
Brad Pitt 7.0
Could be better, but oceans 11 eleven and fight club were good
Robert Redford 3.0
He just sucks
Matt Damon 10
Best actor and my favorite actor. Has not had one bad movie yet, except dogma, and i never saw all the pretty horses, cause I dont like Penelope
Ben Affleck 9.0
Almost as good
Tom Hanks 9.0
Really good himself
Jimmy Stewart n/a
saw only one movie of his
Keanu Reeves 4.0
You know why.
Marlon Brando 3.0
Again you know why
Edward Norton 8.0
Really good too

Johnny Depp-8/10
One of the best young actors around, his work over the past few years has been very good.
Sean Penn-8/10
One of the best of his generation, but I don't always like his work.
Robert De Niro-10/10
Easily one of the top actors ever(my 2nd fav), his body of work is astonishing.
Brad Pitt-7/10
Not just a pretty boy, has good talent and has been really solid for the last 5-6 years.
Robert Redford-8/10
Really one of the best actors to emerge in the late 60's and 70's...and a personal fav.
Matt Damon-7/10
One of the best young actors around, has great screen presence and a great career ahead of him.
Ben Affleck-6/10
Not as bad as everyone thinks...I don't know why everyone hates this guy. I enjoy him in almost everything.
Tom Hanks-9/10
One of the best actors working today and his track record in the 90's proves it...plus he's just a likeable guy.
Jimmy Stewart-10/10
One of the best actors of all time...starred in so many classics, and he was a fav of Hitchcock which is a plus.
Keanu Reeves-5/10
Poor Keanu seems to be the laughing stock...he seems like a decent dude, but just comes off as dopey.
Marlon Brando-10/10
One of the best actors ever, even though many many consider him a joke lately. He still shines just see The Score.
Edward Norton-8/10
I put him in the same category as Depp and slightly above Pitt...his work has been outstanding another young talent with many great future performances.

Johnny Depp - 8/10
Enjoyable actor to watch, characterizes very well. Would be nice to see him do something less Tim Burtonish.
Seann Penn - 7/10
Doesn't get a high enough rating because I haven't seen him in much, but not that in general he has amazing talent.
Robert DeNiro - 10/10
Can do any character in any movie. One of the most important actors ever.
Brad Pitt - 9/10
Definitely not just a pretty boy. Brad has proven himself worthy will excellent film choices and great performances.
Robert Redford - 8/10
Again, haven't seen too many of his films, but in the ones I've seen, he was plausible and entertaining.
Matt Damon - 9/10
Amazing in about every aspect of the word. Started small, and gradually he has become one of the most respected actors around today. Good in Ocean's 11, Great in The Talented Mr. Ripley, Better even in Good Will Hunting. Also not only good for an actor, but he's a brilliant writer.
Ben Affleck - 7/10
Good action actor, with enjoyable movie choices. Generally doesn't embodie the character enough.
Tom Hanks - 10/10
Thoroughly stunning. Come on, he TALKED to a VOLLEYBALL in Cast Away, he WAS Forrest Gump, let Michael Clarke Duncan feel his CROCH (eek!!) in The Green Mile, and did awesomely in the teen thriller THE 'BURBS.
James Stewart - 10/10
Man, no words can describe this ingenious performer - maybe except indescriable..
Keanu Reeves - 5/10
Was alright in The Matrix and Oscar-worthy in The Gift, but as for the rest, nope, sorry, Keanu. He is improving, though, and thats always good to see.
Marlon Brando - 6/10
Yes, I know, I need to catch up on my Marlon Brando shit. He was excellent in The Godfather, but terrible in The Island of Dr. Moreau. Haven't seen enough of his films to fully give my opinion.
Edward Norton - 9/10
Very nearly a 10/10, but he hasn't really done enough things to deserve that rating. With his next few films, it will definitely be upped because he is an excellent actor.

Johnny Depp- Once upon a time a 3, but since Ed Wood & Chocolat, I move him up to a 7.
Sean Penn- Interesting. Another actor who has grown up and into his talent! from a 2 (Ridgemont High) to a 9 (his directing influenced this, and of course, I am Sam)
Robert De Niro-10 Can do it all.
Brad Pitt - 6 Looks aren't everything
Robert Redford - 9 almost perfect. Very talented. Spends most of his time grooming others now, though.
Matt Damon- 7. As he matures, he will show more and more of what he's made of.
Ben Affleck 4. He is really average.
Tom Hanks 9 - He is massively talented and well rounded.
Jimmy Stewart - The perfect 10.
Keanu Reeves 4 - But sure is cute.
Marlon Brando Today or in his prime? 8 as a combined score.
Edward Norton 9. Very versatile, but more to come.

He didn't do too badly considering how many in the group are from a much younger generation. I, for one, think he has the most talent of the group. But I lost a bit of respect for him when he kept bashing his profession, especially the art of acting.

Sean Penn 7/10 (way past his prime)
Robert De Niro 10/10 (DeNiro is the man, he's incredible!)
Brad Pitt 9/10 (definition of cool)

Matt Damon 4/10 (face it... he's totally overrated)
Ben Affleck 3/10 (so is he)
Tom Hanks 9/10 (a great actor who usually chooses great movies to be in)

Keanu Reeves 5/10 (He was super cool

Johnny Depp- 7/10 (an inconsistent body of work...sometimes improperly cast. Shines when he's dead-on though. Loved him in Edward Scissorhands)
Sean Penn-8/10 (best in comedy, I think. Loved him in We're No Angels and Sweet and Lowdown. Also great in Dead Man Walking. Some of his films were bad but not his performances)
Robert DeNiro-9/10 (universally great actor but some film choices were bad. Wouldve given him 10/10 if he hadnt done Rocky and Bullwinkle. Too bad)
Brad Pitt-7/10 (has proven himself to be a great actor in 12 Monkeys, Fight Club, and Legends of the fall. A great actor but not a good judge of scripts. He hasnt been great in everything.)
Robert Redford-8/10 ( was 10/10 before he turned 50. If I have to see him in another cheesy romance I'll retch. Recent film highlight was Sneakers. )
Matt Damon 7/10 (I've only seen a couple of his films so am not a perfect judge but I got tired of the profanity in Good Will Hunting and thought he was too young for his part in Bagger Vance.)
Ben Affleck 4/10 (NOT a fan. I think he's ugly, cocky, pretentious and mugs his way through all his films on the off chance teenage girls are watching. He can do physical comedy ok though.)
Tom Hanks 8/10 (overacts on occasion but was phenomenal in Forrest Gump and Big. Getting a little cocky in his maturity.)
Jimmy Stewart 10/10 (THE quintessential actor. I love every flm he does and think Mr. Smith Goes to Washington is the finest male performance in history. So there!)
Keanu Reeves 4/10 (saving grace was one remarkable performance in My Own Private Idaho. Decent action star but annoying way of speaking)
Marlon Brando 9/10 ( a few stinkers under his belt and he looked like Aunt Bee in The Island of Dr. Moreau but other than that a phenomenal actor. One of my favorite performances of all time is still his Terry Maloy. (On the Waterfront)
Edward Norton 8/10 (not the best of judges since I've only seen a couple of his films but American History X was unbelievable. I'd venture to say he'll be the next Brando.
I'm surprised at the frequent jabs at ROCKY AND BULLWINKLE. I happen to like it. I know that the Chicago critics (Ebert, Wilmington, Rosenbaum - all respected critics) also enjoyed it. I guess we Chicagoans are just the smartest. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif

Johnny Depp - Easily one of the best actors of his generation. Spectacular in every one of his films. 9/10
Sean Penn - Can't stand him in real life, but there's no doubt he's a great actor. Out-fucking-standing in Dead Man Walking! 8/10
Robert De Niro - Diverse, intense, powerful, dramatic, talented. 10/10
Brad Pitt - Much more than a pretty boy. Impressed the hell out of me in 12 Monkeys and Legends of the Fall. Very good in Interview with the Vampire, Meet Joe Black, and Thelma and Louise. has great charm and charisma, likable too. 9/10
Robert Redford - I don't care for him much as an actor. But he's an EXCELLENT director so acting - 7/10; directing - 9/10
Matt Damon - The best young actor of his generation. Fantastic in every role and never fails to impress me. 8/10
Ben Affleck - Used to hate him. But he was very good in Daredevil, Good Will Hunting, School Ties, and especially Chasing Amy. Even if he was awful in Pearl Harbor and Bounce, he can be forgiven. 7/10
Tom Hanks - One of the most overrated actors working today. Always appears to be the same character in every movie. 7/10
Jimmy Stewart - :D WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE IT!!!!! ONE OF MY FAVORITE ACTORS OF ALL TIME! 11/10
Keanu Reeves - Ugh. Can't stand him. He's an okay action star but he can't act worth shit. Has the ability to ruin many films he's in no matter how good the script it. Absoulte atrocious "actor" who should be remembered only for 'The Matrix'. 3/10
Marlon Brando - See Jimmy Stewart. Another one of my inspirations as an actor. 11/10
Edward Norton - The best actor of his generation. Deserved oscars for Primal Fear and American History X. Excellent in Everyone Says I Love You, Rounders, The People vs. Larry Flynt and The Score. I enjoyed Death to Smoochy because of him and he was even good in that stinker The Italian Job. 10/10

Robert De Niro - In my opinion, the greatest actor who ever lived. His performance in Raging Bull is the greatest ever put on film...11/10
Brad Pitt - Great in Fight Club and Twelve Monkeys, great actor...8.5/10
Robert Redford - Only seen him in Butch and Sundance so far, though he was rather good in it...7.5/10
Matt Damon - Good actor, thought he was great in Good Will Hunting and Dogma...7.5/10
Ben Affleck - Great in Chasing Amy, good in Good Wil Hunting, everything else is just "meh"...5.5/10
Tom Hanks - Great in Forrest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, Philidelphia, and Cast Away. Great actor...9.5/10
Jimmy Stewart - One of the best actors ever. Should've won an oscar for Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and deserved it for The Philidelphia Story...9.5/10
Keanu Reeves - Loved him in the Bill and Ted movies, but he isn't much of an actor...5/10
Marlon Brando - Brilliant in On the Waterfront and The Godfather. Need to see some more of him...10/10(from what I've seen)
Edward Norton - Just like Hannibal said, he's the best actor of his generation. Deserved Oscars for Primal Fear and American History X. Should've at least been nominated for The 25th Hour...10/10

Johnny Depp- 7...good and very diverse actor
Sean Penn- 8...brilliant in almost everything he's been in
Robert De Niro- 10...my favorite actor ever
Brad Pitt- 6...proved in 12 Monkeys and Fight Club that he CAN act...what gets me is why he doesn't more often
Robert Redford- 8...very good actor, enough said
Matt Damon- 5...liked him in The Talented Mr. Ripley and Good Will Hunting...not so much in everything else he's done
Ben Affleck- 4...has yet to impress me
Tom Hanks- 8...the Jimmy Stewart of his generation
Jimmy Stewart- 10...one of the best
Keanu Reeves- 2...how is this guy so popular?
Marlon Brando- 10...one of the greats. Pretty much invented method acting.
Edward Norton- 8...shows a lot of potential, but some act like he's one of the best actors ever, which unfortunately makes him over-rated to me. He's given some really good performances, but never a truly astounding one. At least not yet.
