MARISA LOOKS TO MOVE OUT
Oscar winner Marisa Tomei is considering leaving her beloved New York if President George W. Bush is re-elected in November because she thinks America will become a "scary" place.
The star admits she's looking at homes in Europe as safe getaways if New York becomes a target for more Sept. 11-type terrorist attacks.
She says, "I've been talking about (moving), trying to figure out where we'd go. Paris? Italy? I don't like the London weather, but why stay here? It's a scary world."

Yeah, it's such a scary world.
It's because of Bush that terrorists attacked America.
It's because of Bush that they've been targetting the WTC ever since it was built.
Damnit, thanks Bush for making McVeigh blow up some building in Oklahoma city!
Jesus, Bush... once you stop being President, America will be the safest place on Earth! It's all because of you we've become a target!
She is so smart.
She should move to Iraq now. I hear that place is getting better by the week!
Talk about a misguided perspective on the world!

Well I always knew she was a moron. This just confirms it. Now I have another reason to want Bush to win. Not only is he the better leader but we also have one less nasty skank in our country. It is a win/win situation!
Don't let the door hit you in the ass, Marisa...and I have a list of dipshits who have the same idea you can take with you.
Does it ever dawn on people that the way to make the world a safer place is to stay and actually work at it?

But that would require these lazy bastards to actually WORK which is a foreign concept to most actors/actresses. If they dont get what they want right away and without having to lift a finger for it, they sit around and pout like little babies.
It is nice to sit back and say "we should have world peace" and it just happen, but in reality it just isnt going to happen and even if Jesus came back to earth and won the election, we would still have a war going on. We would still be in a deficit (sp?) and we would still have whiners sitting around saying that had John Kerry won, the world would be a better place.

Scary place? Since when will bombs go off in the night and the sound of machine gun fire litter the air? Do you also think that there will be nutjobs with AK-47's on every corner that will shoot you with little remorse if you don't heed to their leader's crazy ideas? Think your personal belongings will all be seized by a facist regime at the drop of a hat?
No? You must be thinking of Iraq.
This argument makes little sense as it is. Bush is actively pursuing terrorists, at least moreso than Kerry would. On top of that, do you think terrorists give a shit who is president?
They hate the US just the same.

She can come live with me. Nobody would ever attack BFE, Indiana, which is pretty much where I live. Plus, I've always thought she was hot.
We could hide from terrorists and do the hibbity dibbity.

Oh my God... I am in awe by this thread. You people actually know how to use your brains! You all have made my day... I am so f*ckin sick of all the Bush bashing, I hope Marisa moves to Paris like she mentioned... I'm sure France would love to have her.
Bush may not be perfect, but at least he's doing something about the f*cking terrorists...
It's a shame too, I really liked her after I saw My Cousin Vinny.

I would have more respect for any actor saying he/she's leaving the country because of an election result -- and actually following up on it.

Sorta like Madonna, she moves to england all because shes upset with the way Bush does things and she critisizes him from her evil castle, and she says shes gonna vote in the next presidential election, shes even adopted a english accent. (shes faking the flavor)
I say if you leave this country then you shouldnt be able to do anything about what the president does, you obviously hate this country and how its run so why come back?

I really don't get the anti france thang- it's like the usa needs something to distract it's people from it's own problems. So lets all hate france!
(Well except when Bordeaux beat hearts in last seasons uefa cup. France remains unforgiven for that! :p )

It would please me very much to see her get deported back to this country, because that country didnt want her.

I'm no big fan of Madonna but seeing as like all US citizens living abroad she has to pay US taxes I'd say she's entitled to vote in US elections.
As for Bush I also agree he's doing something about terrorists.
You only have to look at Iraq & the giant terrorist training camp he's set up there.

Hmm..yet ANOTHER actor proving when it comes to Politics and common sense they truly ARE empty vessels waiting to be filled.
She states she will LEAVE NY..and possibly America itself if Bush wins.....cause America would be a scary place... lets see.... if she is SO SCARED under this Presidents watch...whom I might add, we havent seen anything CLOSE to a repeat of 9/11 (thank GOD)...if she is SO SCARED under his watch..am I the only one who is wondering WHY she CONTINUES to remain in NY..or the Country for that matter?
I can picture these goofball actors munching on caviar and ritz crackers hosting Maureen Dowd and Harry Belafonte, wondering why Castro gets such a bum rap since Bush is the "real evil"..... YAWN............
If one were "truly scared" of their President...AND had the financial capability..AND having such a viewpoint..wouldnt one have ALREADY picked up and moved (at least temporarily) to another "safer location"...other than DANGEROUS NY?...or maybe even stay in another Country altogether UNTIL the elections are over?......it aint like there's a shitload of acting roles waiting for her. :p
Hope she isnt a practicing Christian...cause the if she is and thinks Europe's ever increasing Muslim faith are gonna welcome her..............
By the SHEAR logic of what I pointed up, proves actors who make such inane statements are damn lucky to make a living in a field where common sense does not have to prevail. :o

Celebrities use their celebrity status to run the country, they can persuade people into voting for the canidate that they want in office by just using their celebrity card.
Why do celebrities care on who runs for president? Their lives are more exciting than mine. When can I live in a million dollar mansion or drive fast cars, have million dollar vacations?
Ill be watching MTV and all of a sudden my show will be interupted by a rapper/actor/singer wearing more gold than liberache, and they want to tell me to vote
Bush has done a great job, we have over half of Al Quaida in custody, Saddam Hussein has been captured and a democracy has been set up in a 3rd world country.
Fantastic Job I say.

In fact open invitation to all American actresses between the ages of 17-45.

Someone needs to hold these "celebs" to there words. Hey, I think I have a new idea for reality t.v. Get a few cameras, find the "celebs" that have said they would leave if Bush got re-elected, and confront them. By God I would watch that. Find George Soros, the Pitt's, this Marrissa chic, and FILM AWAY.
