I'm not going to be as accurate with these as with the actors, but I'll give it a shot. Good lord there's a lot of people here.

Susan Sarandon -- 8.0

I enjoy her performances, she's showed both range and power, and is capable of subtle performances.

Sharon Stone -- 6.5

*shrug* She's capable of excellent performances (Basic Instinct) but it has not characterized the breadth of her career by any means.

Angelina Jolie -- 6.0

She can be good, but again a lot of the roles she's chosen aren't challenging at all. Plus I have such a huge dislike for her on a personal level it's tough for me to be fair.

Emily Watson

She was good in Breaking the Waves, but due to the fact that I didn't like this movie and I haven't seen her in anything before her since makes it tough to rate her.


Thora Birch

*shrug* I'd have to see more of her than just American Beauty to care enough to rate her.


Angela Basset -- 7.0

Probably the best black actress around right now.

Halle Berry -- 5.0

*shrug* Average. Very frickin' hot though!


Sissy Spacek --

I haven't seen her in her best movies (such as Badlands, Coal Miner's Daughter) so I can't really rate her. She seems pretty strong though.


Patricia Arquette -- 5.0

An average actress at best, she's lucky to have had directors that know how to wring a good performance out of her.

Jennifer Tilly -- 4.0

Much worse than Patricia Arquette, I'm not sure why I'm even asked to rate her.


Parker Posey

Never even heard of her.


Fairuza Balk

Never heard of her either.


Gwyneth Paltrow -- 7.0

She has some range, but in general I think she's overrated.


Nicole Kidman -- 7.5

Talented actress (moreso than Julia Roberts in my opinion) that brings presence and believability to almost all her roles.


Cameron Diaz -- 5.5

I haven't been amazed by her yet, but I haven't seen Vanilla Sky either, so...


Michelle Pfieffer - 8.0

One of the most versatile actresses out there, I think. I love watching her, even if she's in movies that I hate...she's fascinating.


Sigourney Weaver -- 6.5

She has talent, but nothing extraordinary, I think.


Jennifer Love Hewitt -- 4.5

Gimme a break.


Winona Ryder -- 7.0

Very smart girl, gives good performances, and is enjoyable and convincing.


Neve Campbell -- 5.0

Good, but nothing exceptional.


Rose McGowan -- 4.5

Haven't seen anything worth noting about her.


Madonna -- 6.5

She could be an excellent actress if she'd give up her singing career. *heh*


Charlize Theron

*shrug* Really haven't seen her in anything that I've seen since Devil's Advocate, and I thought she fair.

*shrug* slightly above average, I've yet to see anything exceptional about her.


Courtney Love -- 6.0

Turned in a good performance in People vs Larry Flynt, but nothing worth noting since.

Without question the greatest actress working today, I'd say she's as talented as Robert DeNiro and a helluva lot prettier. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif Range, power, presence, total control over her body, she's incredible.

Ok here goes:

1. Susan Sarandon- 10/10 my favorite actress on this post. She never does a bad job, whether she's a nun or a soap star on Friends. I will literally see a film just because she's in it and I can't think of another female star I'd say that about.

2. Sharon Stone-6/10- ehhhh. A shallow body of work w/ a few flashy standout roles. But that doesnt a great actress make.

3. Angelina Jolie- 7/10 Has the makings of a great actress but not consistent w/ each role. Sometimes fails to evoke any sympathy and has chosen some stinker roles.

4. Emily Watson-8/10 A good actress but she annoys me to look at her. I liked her in the Luzhin Defense though

5. Thora Birch-7/10 I haven't seen her in anything but American Beauty so I'm really not qualified to judge. She was great in that though.

6. Angela Bassett-6/10 She was great in What's Love Got To Do With It? but I havent' liked her work since then. A little to earnest.

7. Halle Berry-5/10 I really haven't seen her in anything where I've loved her though she is beautiful to look at. I hated her as Storm and thought her peformance was the one weakness of the movie. Haven't seen Monstor's Ball though so I guess she's improved.

8. Sissy Spacek -9/10 Another fabulous actress who has an amazing body of work to her credit. My favorite of her roles are The Coal Miner;s Daughter and The River but I even liked her in Blast From the Past.

9. Patricia Arquette 6/10 Here and there actress w/ a few good roles and a few bad.

10. Jennifer Tilly 5/10 Limited Range. ALways plays a ditz and it's tiring.

11. Parker Posey 6/10 Seems type-cast as a self absorbed snob but was great in Best of Show nonetheless

12. Fairuza Balk 6/10- great name. Pretty good in some things. Just fun to look at in others. Liked her best in Gas Food and Lodging when she was a littlun.

13. Gwyneth Paltrow 7/10- I'll admit she was great in Shakespeare in Love but if she talks that way in another movie I'll scream.

14. Nicole Kidman 9/10 a great actress w/ great range. Loved her in To Die For and Moulin Rouge. And beautiful to boot.

15. Cameron Diaz 7/10-sometimes she's just ok, sometimes she steals the show. When she's on, she's most definitely on. Adorable in My Best Friend's Wedding and Charlie's Angels

16. Michelle Pfeiffer 6/10- LOved her a while back in Ladyhawke and Married to the Mob but she's starting to make me snooze.

17. Sigourney Weaver 8/10- great actress but she tends to pick bad roles. I love seeing her sexy and fun. Tired of her in action movies.

18. Jennifer Love Hewitt 4/10- Come ON. Not even in the same league. She's a t.v. actress born and bred.

19. Winona Ryder 7/10-sometimes great like in Little Women, sometimes not. I like her when she acts natural but she makes my cringe in most period roles. She can be beautiful though.

20. Neve Campbell-5/10-she'll always be a t.v. actress in my book. Cute laugh though.

21. Rose McGowan 5/10- she just seems mean no matter what kind of role she plays. I like her Snow White looks though.

22. Madonna 7/10- I like her in what I've seen but I haven't seen Evita and I hear that's her best role.

23. Charlize Theron 6/10- pretty to look at and sweet when she cries. Othewise, dull.

Cameron Diaz - Sometimes likable, but most of the time she's a bad actress, not to mention she's ugly as sin. 4/10
Michelle Pfieffer - Catwoman! Catwoman! Michelle was superb in the 80's, she also created one of the most memorable characters. Deserved a nom for White Oleander, underrated this woman is. 9/10
Sigourney Weaver - More than a tough action heroine, also a fantastic dramatic actress. 8/10
