Last year at college we studied psycho so i've had that film and Janet Leigh's performance drummed into my head. Now suddenly she's gone.

It's also really weird as this morning my alarm clcok woke me up with the news reader announcing her passing away. Not a nice thing to wake upto.

A great loss.

Remember not just for Psycho but for the Manchurian Candidate as well.

Janet Leigh was in what could be considered the best horror film of its time. PSYCHO signaled the dawn of psychological thrillers. Along with Anthony Perkins, Leigh created a deft performance from which many others were cut. May she rest in peace.

Damn sad news...love Psycho and The Manchurian Candidate. The chemistry between her and Sinatra on the train was perfect.

Sad news, indeed. However, why isn't anyone mentioning her performance in Touch of Evil? I liked that movie a lot more than Manchurian Candidate, even a little more than Psycho (although those are both great movies as well). She gave a great performance in that that should be remembered alongside Psycho and the Manchurian Candidate.

Damn. What a loss. Janet Leigh was one of the great Horror movie legends of all time, and her performance in Psycho is the greatest female performance I've ever seen in a horror film. And, yes, Touch of Evil and The Manchurian Candidate were both outstanding as well. I will truly miss her. :(

I know she will be mostly remembered for Pyscho, but for me it's The Fog that I remember her most vividly. I also liked her very brief cameo in H20. It was just like a week or two ago that I saw her in an old episode of Columbo in which she was the main suspect.
