I did one of these for the hulk so lets discuss catwoman

What Went Wrong?

First of they shouldn't have used Halle Berry, soryr but Catwoman is white
Next they should have used Gotham City

so what is your feedback?

halle berry was part of what was wrong, not because of the race thing, because she's crap in action movies.

the script was awful
the cgi overused and of poor quality
the acting, lame
the editing was done by a drunk person

Just looking at the commercials, I could tell the acting is pretty bad. I love Halle Berry and Sharon Stone but they both seem pretty terrible in this. Still, I haven't seen the movie so I'll wait to judge when it comes out on DVD.

Having said that I have one question:

Michael Massee is in it and I like him alot. He's an actor very few people have probably heard of though 24 fans will no him as Gains from season 1. He's probably got little screen time but hows he in this movie?

I know him well. He's the guy who shot Brandon Lee, accidentaly of course.

The problem with Catwoman? Honestly, once Tim Burton was no longer involved, I'm sure the script just went into a tailspin. But where things started was the moment the story started to stray from the origin of the character. Ir probably started small before eventually spiriling out of control into "oh-who-the-fuck-care's-ville."

Halle Berry was just the final nail. Remember, Ashley Judd was once cast in the roll, and I can't see that as being any kind of improvement.

Trust me, the CGI was the least of that movie's problems.

The bad guys ran a fucking cosmetics company!

For me, I thought it was going downhill the first time I saw the costume... yuck!

The costume was the first bloody problem, and then eveything followed. It was just all crap. Actually change that, the first problem wasnt the costume, the first problem was the decision to change the backstory and have the character not Selina Kyle, thats just wrong in & of itself.

Take Halle Berry.
Add one totally retarded costume.
Add a director with no sense.
Insert lots of crappy visual effects.
Combine and pour into a poorly written story.
Add lots of bad actors.

Shake well, serve cheesy.

I haven't seen the movie and don't plan to, but just from seeing clips:

Problem #1 is Halle herself. I don't think she was casted simply to be "PC," but because of her Oscar win. Race isn't that important. Eartha Kitt was a fairly successful Catwoman. Halle just didn't have the right personality for the role.

Problem #2 was the costume, like some of you said. It looked like a cheapo costume you can buy at Target for $12.99.

Problem #3 was what fails quite a few movies, when filmmakers try so hard to modernize something that really doesn't need to be, and to turn the movie into a 90 minute or so MTV video. Sometimes we don't want a whole lot of flash and style.
