other than the usual list of favourite movies.everyone's got a personal favourite which was liked by him/her cuz of some damn(biasd)personal opinions.
for Xample:
my friend(who's a friggin A-grade stoner) loves 'BLOW'.reason??
->his love for drugs.
and this other friend of mine loves 'dead poet's society'.reason??
->his love for philosophies,poems...aaaaand ethan hawke
its like nothing CAN possibly go wrong with these movies becuz u overlook aaaaaall the "wrongs" for the sake of makin it a good movie.

Well if this counts, I love The Kids Are Alright because it's about my favourite band (The Who).
I loved MONSTERS, INC. because Boo is just like my niece when she was that age. And I'm a lot like Sully, a workaholic with a penchant for scaring kids. Until I met her.

My favorite movie is Unforgiven; I love Westerns and this movie embodies all the mythologies, story lines, and more of the greatest westerns. Not to mention the kickass cinematography, acting, and directing. I don't know about personal biases, but my personal opinions of westerns - they kick ass.

E.T. is definitely a personal fav. I can remember every detail from when I first watched it right in my living room, and how it introduced me to the powerful meaning of friendship, how it made me cry, and how I could relate closely to Henry Thomas' character. It's really the memories that bring me closer to the movie whenever I watch it.

Ghostbusters...
I remember the summer it came out (1984) - and I would ride the bus to the movie theater almost every day to see it with my friends. (Matinees were like, 3 bucks.) I still bust out laughing hysterically every time I hear 'Yep. It's the Stay-puft Marshmallow man'

The Breakfast Club
Three words...John F'n Bender
Growing up, this guy was a role model, granted not the greatest one you can choose. but...The entire movie is just too good.
