Worst Ever Sequel?

Last night I was unfortunate to catch the truly awful and offensively bad Robocop 3. What do you fellow schmoes rate as the worst ever sequel?

I have limited myself to a couple:

Robocop 3
Back To The Future 3 ( I loved 1 & 2, not 3)
Childs Play 3
Alien 3 (I prefered Ressurection)
A Nightmare On Elm St 2:Freddy's Revenge
Ghostbusters 2

Scream was a good "teen horror flick". They should have left it at that, because the second was mediocre, and the third? Well, I won't even get into that. A 'horror' movie just doesn't do well with a happy ending...

I agree Scream should have remained an origninal 2 & 3 sucked except for the opening scenes. I didn't like I Still Know What You did Last Summer as much as the first one either, and Child's Play 2 or 3 . For some reason horror movie sequels just don't do it for me. But comedies make good sequels like Rush Hour 2. Some people liked it better than the first one because it had more action, and comedy, but yet some people still liked the first one because they liked how they were first meeting each other. Either way they were both good and both reached their objective and that was to entertain. One sequel that definitely without questions is better than the first is Terminator 2. No one even mentions the first Terminator any more because the second was so good!!!

Wishmaster 2 - Ohh boy...completely terrible, I still haven't seen 3 but it doesn't look as bad as 2
Friday the 13th part 2 - I love most of the movies in the series, but 2 is so incredibally bad, and such a disappointment considering I saw it right after I saw 1

I'll have to stand behind "Scream 2". A snappy and scary sequel that matched the original in almost every respect, and easily one of the best horror sequels ever made.

If you want a really, truly bad sequel, observe "Batman and Robin" and "Alien Resurrection". In my mind, they wrecked perfectly good franchises.

Well, one comes to mind, and that one is Scream 3, i loved scream 1 and 2, but then 3 comes, and it wasn't scary and it was rather boring, i usually like almost all sequals that are put out, oh yeah, and the mummy returns, i liked that the first time , then watched it again and realized how much bogus stuff was in the film(ex. the big air balloon)

I still know what you did last summer was groundbreakingly bad, not that the first one would've been a work of art, but come on, that sucked!
Jurassic Park:Lost World was so much worse than the first one, I couldn't believe it, when I saw it.
I'm not going to see Urban Legend 2, at least if I want to keep my mental health, since the first movie was one of worst films I've ever seen.

I would tend to go with Batman & Robin as the worst sequel ever. Alien 3 & Resurrection are also awful, as was all the Police Academy sequels, Speed 2, Jurassic Park 2 & 3, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, and the Highlander sequels, and let's now forget Jaws 4.

I mean lines like: "You´re not sending me to the cooler!" are pretty bad. Probaply the worst movie that Joel Schumaher has dirrected...

The original Jaws is brilliant in my mind and is one of the best movies ever made. Spielberg was smart to stop with one.

You know a film is bad when they have to rely on a gimmick for the sequel (as in Jaws 3 in 3-D).
