Not in box sets, they have single discs with about 5 eps that tell a complete story arc though. I bought the phoenix saga for my little nephew, I'm looking for the dark phoenix saga for him but I haven't found it yet.

oops, sorry, I forgot to mention I got where I got the dvd from:

http://www.amazon.com/

type X Men in the search field and select DVD in the products option. Most of the DVDs are X men evolution, but they have a few of the old X-Men episodes there as well.

Man, I hate X-Men Evolution. The old school days rocked. Just like The Ninja Turtles

I just found out that ebay sells a set of all 76 episodes over the 5 seasons on dvd. From what i hear these are not the official dvd's which is fine with me but the only problem is i do not have an official dvd player. I have an xbox which is basically my only option to play dvds but due to piracy protection and such things it is harder to play more "underground" dvd's than on an actual dvd player. Has anyone got there hands on these and if so can you attest to them working on an xbox?

Just make sure they are not VCD's.

I seem to remember playing a DVD-RW on a friends Xbox system. So I do believe that an Xbox will play them. I can tell you for sure that Playstation 2 systems play DVD-R's, and DVD-RW's.

I've purchased all of the episodes thru eBay, and my experience was great. The seller had really put together a class set. Which had nice packaging, animated menus, and the picture and sound were in all great quality.

Make sure you check out the feedback before you buy.

Good Luck!

Yes. But like I said before, just make sure it's not a VCD set that you are buying. Otherwise, they will not play.

You may want to check into getting a reg DVD player though. Nothing wrong with having a backup. And theres plenty of cheap priced ones available. But yes, Xbox and PS2 support DVD-R, and DVD-RW discs.

Hopefully you'll find a quality box set! :)

I know there's a Wolverine disc out there with a few episodes on it - it's basically episodes of the FOX cartoon starring the clawed wonder. I saw it floating around work a few months ago. If nothing else, it was nostalgic - I used to watch that show.

How's the quality and the average price on the ebay sets? I looked some time ago but I saw them around 100 bucks, no interest in that yet...

I cant speak for all the X-Men sets, but the quality of the one I bought is pretty damn good. On a scale from 1-10, I would give it atleast an 8 and a half, or 9. It was very obvious that the guy I bought it from really took the time into making the set the best as possible. Everything from the DVD cases, to the DVD's themselves were top notch. The guy got extra points from me by making the animated menu on the discs, better than some I've seen on offical WB DVD's (which is really a shame if you think about it)!
As each episode had it's title (which would change colors if highlighted), along with a vidcap of a scene from that particular episode, on each menu.

I believe I paid $60 for my set, so keep your eyes peeled. I used the "Buy it Now" option though. $100 bucks is kinda steep... especially when you consider that I paid $140 for the entire collection of the Bixby/Ferrigno 'Incredible Hulk' tv shows. The quality was very good, better than I was expecting, but wasnt put together as good as the X-Men animated set was. Just check often.

There are good boxsets on eBay, just look around and always check the feedback comments. Again, good luck!
