I couldn't for the life of me locate this topic/thread via search engine. I've finally seen enough films from 1966 to create a topic with five nominees in each of the major categories. Knock yourselves out...

Out of those films it's Seconds all the way.

That film is truly terrifying.

BEST SCREENPLAY: Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

A great, underrated year for movies. The hardest category to decide was "Best Actress", seeing as how Ullmann and Taylor's performances are both in my list of the ten greatest female performances of all time. Ironically, I consider Liz's performance in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? to be the best out of anyone else in that film, yet she's the only one to not get an award from me.

BEST SCREENPLAY:
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

A very underrated year. Other than Bergman and Antonioni, there were no significant films from the masters of the time (Truffaut, Godard, Hitchcock, Fellini, etc.) and (arguably) the best 5-10 years of movies ever came right after. Nevertheless, Liz Taylor was classic, as was Michael Caine.
