Britney Spears is taking a break — again. She made the announcement late Friday in a "letter of truth" she posted on her fan site.

"It's amazing what advisors will push you to do, even if it means taking a naive young blonde girl and putting her on the cover of every magazine," she wrote. Now, she'd like to "take some time off to enjoy life."

"My prerogative right now is to just chill and let all of the other overexposed blondes on the cover of Us Weekly be your entertainment," she wrote. "Good luck girls!"

Spears also said that her next project would be focusing on being a wife and hopefully a mother. "I can't wait to start my family!" she wrote.

I don't think I've seen such a focused effort to derail a career. I was one of the few people who didn't mind Britney, thinking she was given an overly hard time.

Not anymore.

She and that hick deserve each other. Here's to them having lots of kids with buck teeth and three fingers.

It's beginning to look more and more as if Jessica Simpson had the right idea (as sad and scary as that sounds). She may be dumber than a post, but she's the one with a movie career on the rise, a good-looking husband, and enough notoreity to sell CDs even if they aren't any good.

Well... It's pretty normal for major stars to work 80-100 hours a week with no holidays - ever. If you would work that hard, wouldn't you feel tired? Having a burn out is not rare in music biz. People like Britney do much more than just occasional shows.

I work on TV biz myself, and I see a lot of people around me who work 80-100 hours a week. Seeing them hosting a show on TV might not seem like a lot of hard work, but all the work surrounding it IS really hard work. Hell, I work 80-100 hours a week myself, and yes, I do often feel really tired.
