Hmm. I was foolish enough to purchase the current DVD of the film, without thinking about the chance of a 2-disc SE hitting the shelves eventually. Anyway, the special features on this collector's edition doesn't sound too impressive, so I think I'll settle with the regular DVD instead.

This will hopefully result in the version just released being dropped in price. Not that it's that expensive, but still...

Exactly.

As long as I've got director and writer commentary, I'm satisfied. I'm tired of getting fucked.

I'll still buy the old version. I HATE the cover for the two disk.

Yeah, the cover art's weak, but I didn't get the regular edition yet, so I'll hold out for the SE.

Bad move by the studio here. The bonus features are not extensive enough to warrant many upgrading to the 2-disc set. If they would have just released the 2-disc set intitially, say for $24.99, I would have happily purchased it. As it stands, I will keep my $17.99 single disc release and not think twice about it.

They easily could have had five to eight bucks more of my money. They had better hope that at least one out of every three people who bought the first release upgrades, otherwise they might not make as much as they could have.

Lame. Seriously lame. I love the movie a ton (favourite movie of the year, hands down), but I'm not getting screwed again. Plus the other features they're throwing on don't even seem to warrant a second purchase not like say LOTR of Hellboy. Weak

Im not a big fan of extras ( in fact besides the Quentin comentary on the true romance special ed dvd i dont like extra features ) and nothing short of a Kauffman (sp?) commentary would be good enough. I dont see one announced so ill jump in the bandwagon and get the standart dvd edition too.
