I'll cop flak for this as the film is something of a JoBlo sacred cow but Mr Aniston's worst acting in my view is on display in 12 Monkeys.

A shameless (& unsuccessful) attempt to follow in the footsteps of Dustin "Rain Man" Hoffman & Daniel "My Left Foot" Day-Lewis by playing a gibbering mong in the hope of grabbing Oscar glory.

He's not often bad, but his accents alone in The Devil's Own and Seven Years in Tibet were pretty much enough to ruin the performances in question.

And his Achilles in Troy was quite off as well, but those two are the worst.

When I read the topic first thing that came to my mind was Devil's Own. I'll say that it was his worst. 12 Monkeys was a good performance from him I thought.

I'd say Troy was his worst performance from the ones I've seen.

He still stomped mucho ass, though.

His worst performance would have to be as Dwight Ingalls in the late-eighties horror/comedy Cutting Class.

I'm not ginna name his early work (wich were pretty bad), but without a doubt i have to say TROY.

The screenplay didn't helped him, sure, but he still was pretty lousy. He looked like a blind man on a shootout. And putting Eric Bana as his antagonist sealed the deal, cause Bana was the best thing about that movie.

Worst Performance. Without a Doubt.

I'm gonna have to go with TROY

I don't know about his worst performance, I usually like HIM in his movies. But the worst movie I've seen of his has got to be Legends of the Fall. I hated that shit.

His performance in Meet Joe Black (a movie I love) is, admittedly, all over the place and is the weakest thing about that otherwise wonderful movie. Yet he still had his moments in that movie. And while his accent in Seven Years in Tibet sounded force and just plain awful, his overall performance wasn't bad.

No the only flat out terrible performance I think he's ever given is in the truly awful, terrible movie Coolworld! Terrible, piece of shit movie! And Pitt is awful in it!

Legends of the Fall.

Seven Years in Tibet
and
The Devil's Own
and
Troy
and
Meet Joe Black
and
Cool World

ALL of them were bad to terrible.

I do like Brad Pitt as an actor, though, despite some awful performances, but the man is TERRIBLE when attempting a different accent.

I'd say Troy too as all our Brads did was just stood there and move his lip funny.

he was pretty bad in Coolworld (but the film itself was a fuckin' shame)
I didn't like him in Meet Joe Black either,
and Seven years in Tibet bored me to death...

Troy for me as well, which is really disappointing for me to say, but he was simply miscast in that film.

What's with the hate for The Devil's Own? I thought it was terrific and Pitt was excellent in it. Heck, I even think he pulled off a convincing irish accent!

Compared to Tom Cruise in Far & Away maybe.

Compared to a real Irish person (especially one from Ulster) he was way off.

I despised him in Troy. So, that's probably my pick.

He usually hits pretty close to the mark, but if I had to choose I would have to say Johnny Suede.

I will never understand why so many people downgrade movies like 'Legends Of The Fall'. Sure it was pure melodrama but it was GOOD melodrama. Beautifully filmed, the acting overall was reasonably competent. I'm not calling it one of the greatest movies ever made but it was definitely far better than most.'
