Is that some kind of mistake or did I miss some news? Seems strange since they have the description and director up.

That David Loomis plot is based on a rumor from earlier this year. I wouldn't trust that source. No, I definitely would NOT trust that source. That DVD website is advertising for an upcoming H9, as if its being directed straight to video. The "Halloween" franchise, no matter how bad people find H8 to be, has not condemned itself to DTV yet.

"Halloween: Resurrection" made $33 million dollars in 2002, making three times its budget, so it made it enough money to keep itself off the DTV route. Plus, Moustapha Akkad continues to have the upmost confidence in the series, so I don't see him selling out his coveted "Halloween" franchise to the DTV way.

Nope, this is definitely not true. I just checked IMDB and this "Michael Gornick" does not have H9 under his filmography, not even as "in production" or anything like that. If that DVD source was legit and H9 was currently being made, then IMDB would have that listed. This is just another rumor, or a continuation of a rumor.

If they did make a 9th one i wonder how bad it would be and what other kind of rapper they'll use :D since horror loves rappers (Sarcasticly)

I really wouldn't care if it was, with the way the movies have been going it wouldn't matter to me.

Well if it is anything like Ressurection it might as well be I really hope the new director gets the film and gets back on track with the series don't cast any rappers or other shitty cast.Too bad they couldn't go back and forget about H20 and Ressurection and pick the story back off from there

With all due respect adamjohnson, that's a hell of a bold statement about Halloween Part 3. The plot followed nothing of the previous two movies and totally SUCKED @SS! But to each his own at least your not afraid to stick to your words, for that i applaud you. Even though I am an infant on this site, I am a vetern of many styles of movies. On to the rumor of Halloween Part 9 going to video is total horse-sh*t.
