The Other

Who's your favorite actor that regularly stars in movies made by the Coen brothers?
Steve Buscemi
Frances McDormand
John Goodman
John Turturro
Holly Hunter
Jon Polito
Michael Badalucco
That's the list of actors I could think of. There might be more. There probably is.
I'm going to have to say JOHN GOODMAN. He is very under-rated, but he is extremely funny and a talented comedic actor. I liked him on the television series ROSEANNE and many of his movies. I like his voice-over work as well (a la Monsters, Inc.). So John Goodman gets my vote.

Holly Hunter. She is just brilliant. She stole O Brother Where Art Thou with just a few lines.

It's a tough call between Steve Buscemi and John Turturro

I agree, Kavan. She (Holly Hunter) really did a LOT with her role, and she was hilarious! However, given the question, I do wonder what makes a Coens regular. I don't think any actor has ever made every Coen Brothers movie. But of those on the list of regulars, Badalucco has to be the winner. To play such a lovable gangster in O BROTHER, and then to switch to a loudmouth barber, and to do so well, is not bad.

I would go with Steve Buscemi. He's a great actor, and IMO, I think he's very underrated.

I'll have to agree with The Other, I find John Goodman the most entertaining and the most underrated. Although it's close between he and Buscemi.
Also, Obrotherrules makes an excellent point about Badalucco.
1. John Goodman
2. Steve Buscemi
3. Frances McDormand
4. Michael Badalucco
5. Holly Hunter
6. John Turturro
7. Jon Polito

Tuturo
Goodman
and Buschemi
all are great in all of their roles, but their best roles were all when they are together in The Big Lebowski.
