Here's a question that you guys can probably answer.
Ok so we know that there were only two people who could get to the blood in the fridge: The doctor, and Gary the boss. We then find out that neither of them are "the thing".
So who destroyed the blood?

Good question. I always wondered that myself. I`d have to watch the movie again, but I always sorta figured someone who WAS possessed by 'the thing' must`ve gotten hold of the keys somehow.

My guess is oh man I can't remember his name, he's the one who attacks during the blood test scene. I thought it was him.

Yeah I just sort of figured the guy that was "The Thing" somehow got into the fridge with or without the keys.

Ah-ha! Good thinking, I hadn`t thought of that.
Perhaps 'the thing' doesn`t need our foolish earth keys to get through locked doors!
***SPOILERS***
After all, didn`t the Wilfred Brimley character sneak around the complex after being locked in the shed?

Well he wasn't the thing when he was put in the shed. I assume that the pothead guy opened the door then "turned him".
The main reason why I'm asking this is even after they kill the pothead guy Macready still says to Gary "you're the only one who could have gotten to that blood".
Oh well.

Id have to watch it again, but I'm not sure.
The Thing was really strong. Maybe it picked up the refrigerator and shook it. :)
I think it's one of those "we'll never know" things. In the commentary, John Carpenter and Kurt Russell discuss the movie, and they aren't even sure who was a Thing and who wasn't.

Well I think the lock was still on the door unbroken, if I remember correctly, so 'the thing' would have to have the key (in theroy).

If the thing could copy a human, I'm sure it can copy a key. Maybe there is something like that goin on in the Antarctica.
Do you love how Kurt Russel just dumps his drink on the computer? Either he does this alot and fixes his keyboard, or he never lost before that match and he was not down.

No. I mean maybe he picked up the whole fridge and shook it. That'd bust any vials inside. :)

Check out Outpost 31 (http://www.outpost31.com/) for all your Thing needs. As for who got to the blood: this question ranks up there with if those who were infected knew they were the Thing, and what really happened to Fuchs. Carpenter himself couldn't come up with a clear answer, and neither could Russel.
By the way: GET THE DVD!!!

Great website!
"The keys, which play a crucial role to the sabotaged blood scene, disappear from the action when Windows discovers the Bennings-Thing in mid-assimilation. He had gone to get the keys from Garry, came back, dropped them and ran out of the room. We don't see the keys show up again until right before the scene with the sabotaged blood. Someone obviously found them, used them, and somehow got them inconspicuously back into the action. (A good guess would be by placing them in or near Garry's quarters.) Watch Windows' face as they argue about who had access to the blood. His guilt from dropping the keys and not speaking up about it is a nice touch."
Good explaination.
