If someone were to ask you to pick just one Academy Award Best Picture Winner as your favorite, what would you say?

ThereWolf would have to say, without a doubt;

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest

The best would be The Godfather. But since you're only asking for favorite, only one comes to mind:

Once again, I would say the best would be The Godfather. But for a personal favorite, I've always loved the optimism and pure vitality of that little film about an underdog who got his shot.

The best would be Schindler's List.

My favorite would be American Beauty

Saving Private Ryan. Aw shit, I forgot, that movie was screwed by the academy. Anyway, my fav Best Picture winner is The Godfather. BTW, if The Lord of the Rings wins Best Picture, that will be my favorite.

L.A. Confidential didn't win Best Picture, Titanic did. I'm sure you already knew that though. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Did Schindler's List win? Oh, the hell with it, I'll just say American Beauty, I liked that more anyway.

I knew somebody would list more than one as soon as I read the topic name.

For me, it's an incredibly easy decision:

I second Forrest Gump. It may not be the best film to ever win the award, but it is probably one of my favorites. Man, I love that movie. Run Forrest! Run! ....oh, and lets not forget Freddie Got Fingered. Pure classic cinmea right there, folks.

Actually, scratch my picks. For a second there I'd forgotten BRAVEHEART had gotten Best Pic...so it's definitely my favorite!

And to me, L.A. CONFIDENTIAL won. Period. I refuse to acknowledge TITANIC's award. ;)

One of the few things the academy's done that I strong approve of. How they make any decisions whatsoever without my approval is beyond me......:rolleyes:
