The Junkyard Hardcore Match

No picture. For guys like Jackson who didn't watch WCW this was just a horrid match that featured stupid spots and cheesy explosions with cars blowing up and such (don't even ask).

Wrestlecrap: Almost every participant of this 20 man hardcore match was legitimately injured. The saddest part? The match still sucked ass.

Couldn't find a pic but found this description:

First off, this was probably the worst angle in WCW history (#1 being that Shockmaster crap). In 1993, Cactus Jack wrestled WCW World champion Vader on an episode of WCW Saturday Night. Vader powerbombed him on concrete and won the match. Cactus Jack was not heard from for weeks. (It was merely an angle to give Mick Foley some time off with his wife, his son, and his newborn baby girl, Noel Foley). But as part of the storyline, WCW began doing vignettes with camera crews "finding" Cactus Jack in Cleveland hanging out with homeless people. Oh, and he wasn't playing himself; instead, he was playing a former sea captain. They even "flew" his "wife" and son to "Cleveland" to talk some sense into him. Ironically enough, they had a dumpy looking actress play his wife, instead of Colette. Eventually Cactus returned to WCW to feud with Vader and other wrestlers managed by Harley Race. Cactus Jack defeated Yoshi Kwan at Fall Brawl to win his bag back, there was something in there, which I can't recall. Cactus Jack lost the feud at Haloween Havoc, when he lost the Texas Death Match to Big Van Vader.

Wrestlecrap: Cactus Jack loses his memory (or was that his dignity) in this series of idiotic sketches. Highlight is Jack, who thinks he's a sailor, making poor Jenny's bike seaworthy so she can run her paper route.

Hey, I'm too lazy to go back and look, but I was watching MadTV today on Comedy Central, and one of the episodes with Bret Hart was on, where he attacked Sasso and then Roddy Piper came out of the crowd and sprayed him in the eyes with something and Bret ran off.

I remember watching all of this play out week after week on MadTV, and even remember that it led to a match on Nitro (and maybe even a PPV) that I saw (one of the few wCw things I ever saw). Was that whole angle/storyline included in this tourney? Cause looking back, it was shit.
