Ahhh yesh....'tis that time of year where I break out my annual Movie Marathon for the Holidays. Those schmoes who know me pretty well or of me lets say, know I do this each year! Why you ask? Well for a few reasons actually...obviously first of all I'm completely mad! 2nd it is a good way to refresh my memory and revisit films, old favorites and more recent ones...and finally when you own over 1,000 movies at home picking something to watch is pretty bloody tough so I designed a couple of marathons(this being one of them) so I don't have to do the deciding each night on what to watch.
1st-All my movies from 5 years ago from least favorite to my top 10. Since it is 2004 that means all my films from 1999(A great year as many of you know) This changes each year based on the corresponding year...last year it was 1998 and next year it will be 2000.
2nd-All the James Bond films in chronological order! I neve tire of these films and they are a staple of this marathon!
3rd-Special trilogys...in this case Indiana Jones, Star Wars the original naturally and now The Lord of the Rings! These films always seemed to be on during the holidays, at least the first two when I was a kid...this just makes it a permanent annual treat.
4th-Finally I cap it of with a Christmas film(s)...and since it is the year 2004...I use them from years ending in 4...in this case 1994 for The Ref.
So there it is 90 some odd films in 45 some odd days to fill the Holiday season starting this wednesday night! This doesn't even include all the 2004 new releases I'm ging to be seeing in the next couple months!! Let the insanity begin...tell me what you think!?
