So this year I've developed an almost obsessive interest in C-Span, and tonight while doing "my rounds", I came across a broadcasting of Tammy Bruce speaking at Florida State University.
I had never heard of Tammy Bruce before, but I'm sure there are schmoes in L.A. who have heard her radioshow which I was made aware of.during the broadcast. I'm always interested in hearing an opposing view on certain issues because "ditto" just doesn't make for interesting conversation to me. I have to say I was very impressed with her answers to certain questions and attacks. She was eloquent and made good points about certain issues as well as the recent election and where the Democrats failed. The answers she gave were the kinds that Ann Coulter would suffer brain damage trying to come up with on her own (Ironically, she made a joke about coming off as a brunette Ann Coulter). She doesn't consider herself a "liberal" or a "conservative" as far as I saw in the way she explained her actions in the past, she's not a big fan of labels or being in groups, which I'm not either and I just found her more reasonable and listenable then most other speakers, maybe because she's been on one side and became disenchanted but didn't romanticize the new side she's on.
I think I'll be doing a little more research into her books and her website, which is tammybruce.com.
Oh she recommended a very interesting book called GroupThink by Irving L. Janis, which ironically would cover the "liberal media" conspiracy and Bush's insulating cabinet in one fell swoop.
So anyone know of her or have an opinion of her?
