I saw an import DVD of Frankenhooker on eBay recently and it claimed to be uncut. I was not aware of an uncut version of this film. Does anyone know if there is indeed and unedited version and if so, what's included? Any info would be appreciated.

To my knowledge the old DVD of Frankenhooker, which is no longer available was heavily cut so I do think that there is an uncut version out there.

completely unrelated, has anyone seen the REALLY old VHS box for Frankenhooker that says "Wanna date?" when you press a button on the cover?
freaking hilarious, if you ask me...

Yeah, my Blockbuster has it on VHS, they're rental box says "R rated version" but I looked inside and it said unrated. I actually have a good Blockbuster in Brandon, plenty of hard to find horror.

Good Call...I still have the VHS version with the 'Talking Box' :D
Along with another favorite 'The Microwave Massacre': When you push the button on the box, it lights up and makes these weird sounds...I think the movie "The Dead Pit" had a zombie coming out of the ground on the box, when you pressed it the zombies red eyes would light up! Gotta' love those 'Gimmicks'
~darchangel~ your box is full...I was trying to PM you.

Were you smiling, when you typed this? :D
On another un-related note.
I love 'The Microwave Massacre' opening credits.
It's very bouncy.

As far as i know the UK version of this has always been uncut (nothing to cut anyway if you ask me..all pretty inoffensive stuff) as we had the unrated version and the BBFC did not cut it.

Aww I still have that box and it still works! Mine says R. In any event it does not seem to me to be cut up much, still quite enjoyable.

I imagine that it will be otherwise there wouldn't be much point. Here's hoping that Henenlotter is heavily involved and that it contains a shitload of extras. I'm actually a bit of a Henenlotter fan. The Basket Case trilogy and especially Brain Damage were all highly entertaining for one reason or another. He has a new movie coming next year called Sick In The Head that starts filming in March. Here's hoping he can still produce the goods.

I'm a fan of Henenlotter as well. That would be really nice is he was involved with the DVD release, as he was for Basket Case. The extras were very cool, involving a tour by Henenlotter himself, showing all the areas in which the movie was filmed and stuff like that. It would be nice if Frankenhooker was offered a nice special features package. I'm also very much looking forward to Sick in the Head.
