good lord what a piece of shit this cd is. She SUCKS without the No Doubt band. I loved "What You Waitin For", so i bought the cd off of that. This is the first cd i ever bought where it truly has ONE good song and the rest sucks the biggest amount of ass!!

Meh, the single actually was kind of tolerable for some reason. And, Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil totally smokes Amy Lee in both looks and talent when it comes to goth rock.

I saw Evanescence with Finger 11 and Seether last year and I was blown away at the voice of Amy Lee...

I am by no means an evanescence fan, and I don't have their cd and I usually change the station if one of their songs is being played, but Amy Lee is one hell of a vocalist... Atleast from what I heard at the event

Unbelievably clear and pitches and tones right on... Great stuff, I was a fan for a day.

I went to see Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, and SEETHER. Evanascence just happened to be there. I don't like Evanascence, but they sounded good live. I wanted to leave when they came out though, because Seether was so badass live :)

Amy Lee does sound terrible live. I've seen a multitude of live Evanescence videos, and she's never "on." But to paraphrase Bubba Ho-Tep, the mere thought of Cristina Scabbia "smoking" Amy Lee makes my pecker flutter like a pigeon having a heart attack.

When did this become the Evanescence thread? Anyways, I like Gwen's new record. It's a hot, fun record that doesn't require too much thinking.It's just to be enjoyed. Yes, it is what a No Doubt album would be (minus the bandmates), but Gwen has been saying that for her it's not a solo record, it's a dance record.

I disagree. I've heard them live a few times now and they aren't bad at all. Amy Lee is incredible.

On a topic actually related to this thread, why did Gwen feel the need to go out and make a solo album? I guess success has gone to her head. It sucks when this happens, but at least she'll get it out of her system and get back to where she belongs.

the album is pretty kewl... the best song is track 8, entitles crash... it kicks ass.... also hollaback girl is pretty kewl... as mentioned before it is solo dance album... and no doubt is still together and will make a new album...she said that upfront

She's the lead singer in a band called Lacuna Coil. Evanescence pretty much took their sound as Lacuna came out first. Comalies is a decent album if you want to give it a try.

I'd take Tarja of Nightwish over Lee too on looks and voice.

Anyways, the Gwen single has grown on me to the point of where I can easily call it a guilty pleasure. That opening beat makes me want to shake it.

I've seen Evanescence live! And they were excellent... at least I thought so.

And as for Gwen Stefani, I didn't like the single at first but now I do. Still not sure if I want to spend my hard earned christmas money on her album though.
