Has anyone heard of these guys? They're a Canadian band who re-create the concerts of the 70s-era Genesis. They do concerts for Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound and The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. They may sound like a lame cover band in the way I desribed them, but they're much more than that. Their singer sounds almost eerily like Peter Gabriel, and the concerts are almost exact replicas of the Genesis concerts of the 70s. They use the same costumes, props, instruments and sets that the band used, and they sound almost exactly the same as the real band. If I didn't know any better I could have sworn I was seeing Genesis onstage. Not only does the singer sound and act like Peter Gabriel, but the drummer even sounds like Phil Collins when he sings. Their musicianship is incredible, and they hit pretty much every note perfectly. I had the privilege of seeing them in Toronto in one of their rare stops in Canada (they mostly tour Europe) on their The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway tour. The show was absolutely amazing. If anyone is a fan of Peter Gabriel-era Genesis and has the opportunity to see The Musical Box, I would highly recommend doing so.
