What is your favorite performance given by one of the greats, Denzel Washington? Mine are:

1. Coach Herman Boone in Remember The Titans
2. Jake Shuttlesworth in He Got Game
3. Dudley in The Preacher's Wife
4. Malcomb X in Malcomb X
5. Alonzo Harris in Training Day

Your Turn!

P.S. Remember guys this is about your favorites and not about his best performance ever. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

P.P.S. Sorry Antonio, didn't mean too rip off your title. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

he had so many good performance it's hard to choose witch was his best. But I really love Spike Lee Malcolm X and he really gave a good performance in it.

1- Malcolm X
2- Joe Miller In Philadelphia
3- Alonzo in Training Days
4- Ron Hunter in Crimson Tide
5- Private Trip in Glory

Some people seem to enjoy his performance in The Hurricane... Well, I didn't see that cause I taught the movie itself look kinda lame.

I second that...he was Rubin Carter, shame about missing out on the Oscar. Maybe this year is his year.

Am I really the only person that thought Denzel deserved an Oscar for his performance in Remember The Titans? He was brilliant in that role and I actually consider it one of his 5 best performances I have ever seen.

In order to be nominated, I think that the academy would have to decide that the actor/actress made a movie that would be considered average into something that would be considered extraordinary.

I thought he acted really well, but even his performance was not able to make this movie stand out. The plot was still bland and the movie was still predictable. I think that is a reason that he was not in the top 5 of that year.

I understand... Thank you...

P.S. And just in case anyone of you is wondering why The Preacher's Wife is in my top 5 and not The Hurricane, is because I haven't seen The Hurricane yet.
