Joaquin vs. River - Battle of the Phoenix's!

Who do you like better - Joaquin or River Phoenix? I was very sad when River passed away because he has great skill. However I feel Joaquin Phoenix has done even better, so I pledge my vote to -

Both great. I'd have to say River too though, because he was VERY talented, and because I loved what he did as a young Indiana Jones in LAST CRUSADE.

My vote goes to Joaquin.

I'd go with River Phoenix, he had lots of talent... too bad he threw that all away. Mostly because of his excellent performances in "My Own Private Idaho", "Stand by Me", "Running on Empty" and "The Mosquito Coast".

His performance in My Own Private Idaho outshone even Hopkin's performance in Silence of The Lambs, and he was the best actor of 1991. He was also excellent in Running On Empty, Stand By Me, and Mosquito Coast.

Joaquin wasn't bad in Quills. I didn't like him in Gladiator, Clay Pigeons, or U-Turn, he was okay in The Yards, the only movie I really liked him in was Return To Paradise.

I loved River, don't like Joaquin. The first Phoenix got all the talent.

Joaquin all the way he is talanted and can play different roles. River was less versatile.
