Also, there's a song I've heard called "Hey Santa Claus You Fucking Cunt", but I have no idea who sings it (I wanna say Anal Cunt, but I doubt it).

The Elvis Christmas album, the Nat King Cole one (the only one I actually own), the Phil Spector record...those are the real classics.

Ran across this page while looking for who it was who did Santa Claus is Messin' With the Kid

A couple of X-mas rockers that weren't mentioned yet and are well worth the listen and inclusion in your CD compilation are...

Snoopy's Christmas - The Royal Guardsmen (not from the TV special)

Run Run Rudolph - Chuck Berry

Any Christmas collection isn't complete without "Who Put the Dick on the Snowman" by Rodney Carrington.

Who put the dick on the snowman,
And embarrased the family?
You could've used a baseball bat,
Cucumber or zuchinni (sp?)
But instead you used a thimble.
Something you could barely see.
Who put the dick on the snowman,
And made him look like me?

Cartmans version of "O Holy Night"
Mr. Hanky the Christmas Poo song
Mr. Garrisons "Merry fucking Christmas"

and any others there may be

I'm making a similar compilation and I need some HELP!!

A little over 10 years ago, a local rock station played a Christmas song by Pearl Jam. This was during the time Vs. came out. I remember it sounding like it was recorded live and it was a mellow song, basically just a guitar and Eddie Vedder's voice. I hope I'm not crazy...I DID hear it I swear!! lol Does anyone here know the name of it??

It's called Let Me Sleep.

Lyrics:

Cold wind blows on the soles of my feet
Heaven knows nothing of me
I'm lost, nowhere to go
Oh, when I was a kid...oh, how magic it seemed
Oh, please let me sleep, it's Christmas time

Flowered winds was where I lived
Thought you burned, not froze for your sins
Oh, I'm so tired, and cold
Oh, when I was a kid...oh, how magic it seemed
Oh, please let me sleep, it's Christmas time
Oh...oh, when I was a kid...oh, how magic it seemed
Oh, please let me sleep, it's Christmas time

Oh...oh, when I, if I was a kid...oh, how magic it seemed
Oh, please let me dream, it's Christmas time

Thank you Jeo4!!! http://www.finheaven.com/boardvb2/images/smilies5/thumbs.gif

As a PJ fan I should have known this, but for some odd reason that song always escaped me. Also not sure how it will fit into my CD since it's not really "rockin" and lyrically it's just a tad depressing, but I'll find a way. :D

The ultimate Christmas records (no party would be complete without):

#1. The Fairytale Of New York - The Pogues & Kirsty McColl
#2. Last Christmas - Wham!
#3. Do They Know It's Christmas? - Band Aid
#4. Merry Christmas Everybody - Slade
#5. I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday - Wizzard
#6. Happy Xmas (War Is Over) - John Lennon & Plastic Ono Band
#7. Please Come Home For Christmas - Jon Bon Jovi
#8. Step Into Christmas - Elton John
#9. Merry Christmas Everyone - Shakin' Stevens
#10. A Spaceman Came Travelling - Chris de Burgh

I would have included "Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End)" by The Darkness, but I've recently decided that the song is a pile of shit!

What? No mention of Mr Blobby?! I'm stunned :D

River by Joni Mitchell probably tops my Christmas song list.

Oh and Sleigh Ride by the Shirelles? (Ronettes? - I'm not sure)

I foolishly decided to sing it at my work's Christmas Karaoke Party.

How foolish indeed.
