the trailer reminds me a lot of TCM remake style of directing and trailers (like the b&w new footage), im not surprised, afterall its Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes producing this again. They even used same font for the taglines as the one in TCM trailers

Looks pretty neat though.

Still I really really hope its better than the original. Im at a loss at why the original was supposed to be scary

I guess because the original was based on something that was to have actually happened (which is highly up for debate). Who knows.

I feel the same way about The Shining.


Anyway, the teaser was fairly effective but that's about it. It's good. Not great but good. Sort of like the teaser of The Ring 2.

But the main reason I'd be going to see this movie is the cast. I like Ryan Reynolds, Melissa George and Phillip Baker Hall.
