Heres the poster for Sin City and some cool as hell pics that give you an idea of what this flick will be looking like...I think its awesome as hell. The pics give us a feel of what Rodriguez is trying to do...wich is basically duplicate the comics look...black and white whith a color here and there to accentuate an important character. Im pumped!

That pic of Marv with the band aids on his face seems as if the comic just bursted to life! The yellow bastard, he looks awesome! Holy shit, I honestly think Im finally going to forgive Robert Rodriguez for Once upon a time in mexico...

One segment of the movie is directed by Quentin Tarantino, as a "thank you" to RR for scoring "Kill Bill, Vol. 2" for free.

And yes, this looks f*cking awesome.

The film is split up into 3 stories. The first is about a man named Marv who looks like a freak. He has sex with a woman(Carla Gugino)and he wakes up to her dead body the next day. He goes on a rampage to find out who did it and get revenge.

I believe the second is about a group of prostitutes that get their pimp to kill an undercover cop which leads into a war with the cops and the group of people in the bad parts of Sin City

The final story has Bruce Willis and Jessica Alba. I think that one is about Willis' final night before retiring and helping Alba from a yellow-skinned man who is trying to kill her.

This isn't usually my type of film, but yeah...this looks freaking awesome.

And who cares what Jessica Alba's doing in the movie? As long as she's there, I'm happy.

Also think Benicio del Toro and Clive Owen look pretty badass.

I never heard of Sin City. But when I heard who was in it. And saw a few clips. I said this is something I am looking forward to. I love the fact that all these mainstream actors are in this movie.

I have noticed that more mainstream actors are doing more and more indie films. And you truely see some better acting from them.

For a $1.00

Rodriguez scored KB 2 for 1 buck, QT returns a favor directing a segment for a buck.

The idea of a film that is visually entertaining as well as a good story is irresitible.

You know, when I first heard that Mickey Rourke was going to play Marv, I thought to myself, "Mickey Rourke?? He's about half the size that Marv should be!" Of course, when I saw the footage from the Comic Con, all that changed. In fact, all of the actors look like the characters from the comics.

Yes, this movie is going to kick so much ass that everyone's asses will end up looking like two Japanese flags.

On IMDB it said that, although Del Toro already looked like his character, he demanded to have prosthetics done to look more like the artwork. I have to say I cant recongize any definate Del Toro features in his character on screen. Look at the poster, if you weren't told that was Benicio Del Toro would you recongnize him?

Rodriguiz made it clear at the comic con that he was there mostly just to assist Miller with Directing. Miller is the captain of this bad boy from what I gathered.

If this is in fact the case with this movie...I wouldnt be dissapointed at all...I think Millers a visionary. He loves violent imagery and knows how to make it look good...its almost as if he had the talent to make violence look beautiful. Its very evident in his comics...but his also not afraid to push the envelope and show violence as shock value.

If this bit of news is true, then Im really happy with it!

Ill tell you what, that could actually be the case. And Ill tell you why, Frank Miller is a visual artist. If youve seen his artwork in the past he gives a whole lot more importance to the visual aspect of things....when you think about it most of SinCity's stories are simple revenge stories....he tends to go on a violence overdose most of the time in his stories. To me this is a good thing because I too am a visual person. The comics I buy, I buyem first and foremost for the art. And Frank Miller delivers in that department. Hes artwork has evolved greatly over the years and like fine wine it keeps on getting better with time. Sin City (the comics) is a fine example of that.

This is not to say hes not good at writing...he's also written the best Batman story ever written The Dark Knight Returns and hes also done some really escapist things like Hard Boiled wich is just a violence tour de force. Hes stories and screenplays all have that in common...the violence but beneath it all if you look hard enough, theres a good story, a good core to the whole thing.

The thing about Miller I like (besides his art) is his attitude, hes like "yeah this is violent and gross! So fucking what? I like it!" Its like he hasnt been afraid to shy away from violent bloody imagery because to him theres beauty in extremely violent stuff....its shocking, different and just plain in your face.

How will all this translate to Sin City the movie? Well Im hoping he will do good in both aspects...the visual one and the story one....Im hoping he has adapted the comics well to the screen...and the story of the comics is very well written, very emotional stuff added in with the violence, so Im hoping that will translate well to the film. Of course Im also expecting him to give the visual side of the film the most importance and as seen by the images and previews, his doing just that.

In my opinion this is what a comic book movie should look like.Instead of going for as realistic as possible make it as colorful as the comics themselves. Also it looks like robert called up every A- list actor he knew for this one.

Ive just finished reading That Yellow Bastard and within the first chapter it becomes very evident that this film HAS to have an R rating in america, so does anyone nkow what rating this is aiming to be? Because Australia it would be MA from what ive read, and it looks to stay pretty faithfull to the graphic novels (except for alba, take ur damn top off already!! :P).
