Jazz never seems to get mentioned on these boards, so I was wondering if anyone listens to it? I've been working my way through standards lately, I like it more and more each day. Anyone want to share their thoughts, or give any reccomendations for artists they like?

Miles Davis: Bitches Brew is a nice listen late at night.

Coltrane has to be my favorite followed by monk though.

I think Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" is one of the best jazz songs ever written.

We used to have a jazz station in Kansas City. It got replaced with some pop/R&B bullshit that I can't even listen to.

I like John Coltrane and Miles Davis, too. (Who doesn't like Miles, though?) I also like Chick Corea, Candy Dulpher (Saxuality was decent), and Charlie Parker. It just depends on what mood I'm in and if radio is merciful enough to play jazz at any given time. NPR plays it sometimes. Other times, I am shit outta luck.
