Try Fulci's City of the Living Dead...The sounds coming from the rear speakers are very eerie, especially the wind blowing (or moaning actually).

The Eye

The "jump" scares are sure to soil your trousers.

Definitely Suspiria and Deep Red for those great Goblin scores.

And those clashing, creepy-ass cymbals in the original TCM sound great in stereo!

I know alot of people here hate it (I'm not much of a fan myself) but I liked Blair Witch better when you have a good sound system. Some of the scenes at night are good.

I haven`t seen many movies from dvd in surround, but I`d have to say Resident Evil sounds really kick-ass. Not particularly scary, but kick-ass.

Thirteen Ghosts sounds really good. That chanting stuff reverberates throughout the room.

The Sixth Sense. In its extras, they tell you that they used all these different types of breathing for background. When you watch it, you can really hear it, especially when they use the bear breath.

I totally agree with Xipe Totec on Resident Evil. Only surround sound can do Marilyn Manson's score justice.

Although not necessarily horror, Twister will knock your socks off in surround sound as well.
