View Full Version : Worst Trailer Ever

I was going to submit XXX: State of the Union as my nominee for worst trailer ever, but then I saw one even worse, on the same damn day before the same damn movie: The Pacifier. This appears to be one of the dumbest, least funny movies ever made, with a plot that could not possibly be more idiotic and useless. Diesel is done, as he should be. The early promise his career showed is gone. Didn't fucking Hulk Hogan already make this movie like 10 years ago? The Nanny or something like that? What in the fuck was Diesel thinking? Did he really think this was a good idea? I was astounded by what I was seeing. Possibly the most painful two minutes of my life, four if you throw in State of the Union. When the Pacifier trailer was over, some teenage kid yelled out, "That was fucking retarted," which caused a huge roar of laughter and approval. See ya, Vin. What a waste.

i know theres another thread about this movie somewhere else, but I believe lots of people found it entertaining, personally Im with Madsen on this one, i have no desire to see this crud, the only reason would to see some of my friends who were extras (it was filmed where i live).

Holy crap, I forgot about Mr. Nanny. I was thinking this was a Suburban Commando rip off: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103003/
Not that I saw either of them. I just tend to have a film catalog in my head.
Awful, awful, awful idea. Vin Diesel can be a good actor. Too bad he's throwing his career down the tube for a paycheck. Hey Vin, they're going to get smaller if you keep on doing bombs!
I wouldn't even waste my time sneaking into this movie for free.

I use to trust Vin Diesel for his great action flicks, but he's making a jackass of himself in Disney family comedies lick The Pacifier. Here, the trailer concentrates on the kiddy like scenes and does not concentrate on Diesel's character's Navy SEAL exploits. This is a sucky trailer IMHO.At least XXX: State of the Union has guns and explosions, so it's not THAT bad.

Yeah The Pacifier looks ridiculous. I was going to start a thread on this two, and saw this and XXX2 (don't care what it's actually called) in the same sitting for Meet the Fockers.
The scary thing is, before he gets to Suburbia, I'm not sure if it's trying to be funny or hardcore action that has corniness bloated all around it.
More proof that Hollywood is running out of ideas. Why would Vin Diesel take this movie anyway?

It'd be pretty funny if Hogan sued them for ripping off his 'great hollywood career'

Eh, it looks entertaining. I enjoyed the little girl in it in her performance in Cheaper By The Dozen.
It'll also be nice to see the 'softer side' of Vin Diesel...

On paper, XXX-2 sounds horrid, and my reaction to first reading it was not unlike how I feel about the Carlito's Way prequel.
But I'll be damned if the trailer didn't suck me right in. Plenty of Dafoe, plenty of slick action, and to cap it all off, we have Lee Tamahori ("Die Another Day") at the helm.
That's my opinion, at least.

I'm glad that Diesel took ths PACIFIER role. I was getting tired of him playing the same boring character in all too similar action roles. Diesel really bores me, and at least this seems fresh.

You mean fresh for Diesel? Because the movie couldn't possibly look more stale. And even if it is different for him, he didn't have to choose something so painfully awful and tired. He has completely thrown away all of the promise he showed early on in his career. Boiler Room and Pitch Black are distant memories now. Back then it appeared that he might become a good actor with an interesting career. Not the case at all now. Such a shame and a waste. I can't see The Pacifier being a hit, and how many chances will he have left?

Ugh. Diesel's mercifully short career is crashing down now, with three flops in a row (one of them having a really big budget). When XXX he looked like the next big action star, but with these horrid career moves (especially ditching XXX2 and 2 Fast 2 Furious, at least he'd make money off those), he looks to fade fast.

Yes, fresh for Diesel. I don't know much about this film, but at least it is a departure for him.

No sir. It HAS to be the newly released Bloodrayne trailer. He may be a nice guy according to The Arrow, but his videogame-to-movie whoring has to got to stop. Corny shots, sound effects, and "score"? Too bad it sports a good cast list (Madsen!).
Please. For the sake of the gaming and movie industry just stop.
Paul Anderson, I'm also speaking to you.
