Just wondering what particular death scenes are the hardest and most disturbing for you to watch. You know, the deaths that you wouldn't even wish upon your worst enemy. I don't think we have to limit this to just horror films, but whatever you got.

Mine would have to be when Pesci and his brother get busted up with bats and then get buried alive in Casino. That scene is just so hard for me to sit through because they actually make him watch his brother die (or come close to it) before its his turn to take a beating. Some sick shit!

Also, I always thought when the Nanny hangs herself in The Omen was a little disturbing. I can't explain it, but it's just really creepy.

Ooooh man it's painful just thinking about that. Definitely one of the most disturbing death scenes I can remember in a movie.

Another horrible one is from the original Nightmare on Elm Street when Freddy kills Tina in her dream and her boyfriend Rod wakes up to see her being cut open by "invisible knives" and twirled and thrown around the room like a bloody rag doll.

Yet another one would have to be in Tobe Hooper's original Texas Chainsaw Massacre when Leatherface hangs that girl up on a hook like a stuck pig whilst he cuts up her boyfriend as she looks on in horror.

Of course some of the most disturbing death scenes can be found at the end of Day of the Dead especially when Captain Rhodes is torn in half and eaten by a horde of hungry zombies.

"Choke on it! Choooooooooke ooooooooon it......."

Yeah, that's a nasty one. Another one I particularly dislike is the scene in Saving Private Ryan when the American soldier is slowly stabbed by the German.

How about Jesus Christ in the Passion? Like or not, Christian or not, that's by far the most pain anyone ever had to endure.

The Getaway

when the guys strapped to a chair & watches this guy fuck his wife & then, after he can't take it anymore, hangs himself

that's fucked up.

For me, it's the bathtub scene in I Spit on Your Grave where she castrates the lead rapist. I have to fast forward through that part. Ouch!

The most disturbing deaths are not in horror movies.
My five picks are:

Saving Private Ryan
is ugly, especially the beginning when one of the soldiers is dragged down under water from his bag, fighting for his life to get shot by a bullet, or the soldier laying on the ground shockingly searching for his missing limb...

Passion of Christ
the torture of Jesus when he´s whipped by those chains...

Casino
Pescis death is horrible

Seven
Gwyneths faith even if you don´t actually see it.

Hannibal
the Italian cop when he´s gutted than hanged was a true shocker

spoilers: Let's see...

The chick that got melted in Slaughter High as well as the guy who was chopped up with the tractor

The girl in the locker room's death in Pieces

The girl who was gutted from her vagina in Violent shit

The guy getting his nut ripped off with a fishing hook in Violent Shit 2

And Artie boiling in Sleepaway Camp

and so much more.

Good call, that is pretty sick. I can't imagine how the boyfriend felt, watching that happening and being helpless to stop it.

This death scene has been used in so many movies, I can't pinpoint one, but being eaten alive by zombies has always been one of my worst fears. Nevermind that zombies aren't real. Yet.

And in John Carpenter's Vampires, at the beginning when the master vampire goes to the motel, and stickes his hand through the guy's stomach, then slices him in half with his hand! I wouldn't wish that on my hated highschool principal. Maybe that she gets run over by an eighteen-wheeler, but not that.

I don't know if this one counts, but the Sloth guy in Se7en. I get chills thinking about it.

Hey, just a random question, but does anyone believe in spontaneous combustion?

I just saw the first episode of an anime called Elfen Lied

-SPOILERS-

There's a cute secretary that got her head ripped off by some psiquic girl-creature and her body used to shield the creature from the bullets. It's especially shocking because you don't see that coming to such a cute character.

the only deaths that have ever disturbed me were the stuff in Passion Of The Christ and the beginning of Saving Private Ryan

The family killed in Henry:POASK

The little kid's death in Funny Games (off-screen,though)

Nash's death (The Hitcher)

sorcerer's death (at the beginning of The Beyond)

Betti being the forced witness of the different murders in the sadistic Opera (Argento)

I agree with the nanny hanging in The Omen. What really made it disturbing is that it happened so fast. The other one in The Omen is when Lee Remick goes flying through the window.

Prom Night

Robin falls to her death and lands smack dab on glass

Carrie

Margaret White's crucifixtion

The Fury

Amy Irving makes John Cassevetes blow up and blood and guts fly everywhere

Andrew Stevens making the carnival ride crash

Pet Cemetery

Both of Gage's deaths

*End Of Evangelion Spoilers*

That particular character that gets an eye gouged out, guts ripped out and eaten, fingernails lopped, the arm split in half, then impaled several times.

Alien - The chestburster scene

Saving Private Ryan- Knife slowly shoved into chest and that guy on Omaha beach with his guts spilling out, screaming in pian. Also when the medic is shot with a machine gun and bleeds to death.

The Omen- Nanny hanging herself

Braveheart- The bit at the end when William Wallace gets tortured. Also some other stuff (throat slittings, crotch stabbing, etc.)

Reservoir Dogs- Mr Pink is basically dieying a slow and painfull death throughout the movie.

Battle Royale- When that girl's thoat is slit, and also when someone's head is chopped off and a grenade is put inside. Hell, all the deaths in that movie were brutal.

JFK: The archive footage of JFK shot in the head. It's a real guy being shot.

Hannibal: When Ray Liotta gets fed his own brains.

Shaun of the Dead: When that guy with the glasses has his guts ripped out and eated. Nasty.

Nightmare on Elm Street: When the girl at the beggining is sliced up by Freddy.

American History X: The curb scene was horrible, as ws the shooting at the end (I know it's not the worst way to go, but it's still disturbing).

Blade: Many disgusting deaths here, but the one were the vampire gets melted by the sun is probably the worst.

Passion of Christ: Pretty much the whole film.

Not an actual death in the movie, but one that's hinted at in The Serpent & The Rainbow -> lying paralyzed and helpless while being buried alive. Especially if you have a tarantula crawling over your face and you can't even raise your hand to brush it off.

Brrr.

Um-- that's Mr. Orange, dude. Mr. Pink is the only one who actually survives the film, and I would know! :D

I hated Final Destination 2 (with a fiery passion), but the one death that I always think of that gets me is the "air bag" death. In fact...count just about every death in the first Final Destination as some very scary shit...my flying experience has been forever altered because of that movie. That happen to anyone else? I hate flying.

Candy Clarke's death in "Amityville 3£ when she burns up in the car. Very nasty because of the truly horrible screaming sound they put other it.
