Anyone else not able to wait for this either?, being in the UK we never even had the chance to see this before it was cancelled, but being Joss Whedon i blind bought the DVD when it came out over here and wow. i'll admit i felt it started slowly but after a few ep's i was hooked, though the most annoying thing was getting invested in the story lines and characters and having no resolution to all the stuff that was set up for later episodes. Still thankfully we now have a film to tie up the lose ends from the series and a possible trilogy if the first ones succesful. Looking around the net i've seen some postive test reviews today, though being a 'Firefly' fan i doubt i'll be disappointed when it comes out.
However will the film be broad enough to rope in the causal cinemagoer or it will it just appeal to Firefly fans?

I, too, am looking forward to this film (it's my most-anticipated movie of next year).
As for your question, aintitcoolnews had some reviews that were absolute RAVES. One of them had never even seen the show and didn't really like Angel or Buffy. He said that it was the best sci-fi movie in years.
Man, this flick is gonna rock.

The show was godly. I remember seeing it for the first time and thinking "wow. this show is teh suck". Then i caught it a year later on repeats at 7 am, and I actually woke up daily to watch it because this time i GOT IT. I have no doubt that this will be a solid movie, and BOMB horribly.

I've not seen Firefly (I'm hoping to get the boxset for Xmas) but I'm also really looking forward to this, simply because I'm a big fan of Buffy and Angel
