Hmm. I loved the first, I liked the second, but I didn't care much for the third (however, I'd be willing to purchase, just to complete the trilogy), and I despised The Next Karate Kid. I'd buy it, but the 4th film needs to go. I suppose I'll be forced to do the same thing I did with the Alien Quadtrilogy set - buy the films I like individually.

I might buy this...
1st was good, 2nd was decent, 3rd was so-so, and I only saw the Next Karate Kid once. And once was enough.

This one really depends on how much they are going to charge for it. I'd love to have SE's of the first and second ones, but, I really couldn't care less about the third and forth.
I'm interested in what they are going to do for special features.

Just give me the first two, the rest can be left off my shelf.

Further Details

The set will arrive on the 1st of February, and will feature anamorphic widescreen transfers and Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround soundtracks for all four films in the series. Extras will include director, writer and cast commentary with John Avildsen, Robert Kamen, Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita, a ‘Beyond the Form’ featurette with the film's Karate trainer Pat Johnson, an ‘East Meets West: A Composer's Notebook’ featurette with composer Bill Conti, a ‘Life of Bonsai Featurette’, and ‘The Way of the Karate Kid’ making-of featurette. The retail price for the disc should be around the $36.95 mark.
Now I'm sold. It should go for about $25.00-$27.00 at Best Buy the first week!

Hilary Swank is hot.
Sorry, that's all I have to contribute to this thread.

I can't wait for this. A childhood favorite getting a commentary track, for me, is like a poor person striking it rich. I wish some reviews would start popping up.
