Here's the first vote:

Encounter at Farpoint
http://www.startrek.com/imageuploads/200303/tng-101-the-flamboyant-q-on-th/320x240.jpg
The new U.S.S. Enterprise and its crew set out "to boldly go where no one has gone before", and encounter an alien with God-like powers, who tries the crew for the crimes of humanity.

VS

The Neutral Zone

Picard tries to prevent war with the Romulans, while catering to a group of cyrogenically frozen 20th century humans.

I vote for Encounter at Farpoint, and Home Soil to go off.

Encounter at Farpoint

I actually don't even remember the other episode. Season 1 was easily the weakest season. I remember looking back at it was surprised how hokey it was. Fortunately the show would get better. A LOT better! Not that I didn't like season 1 because despite it's hokiness I still do enjoy it.

Oh well, this doesn't look too promising. :( But no matter how unpopular it is, I'll still keep it going, just like the WNBA. ;)

Encounter at Farpoint wins 3-0

Next up is:

The Naked Now

This is gonna turn into one of those "crazy guy in the corner mumbling to himself" threads, but that okay.

Yep, Conspiracy wins it, 1-0

Next on the list is:

Code of Honor

Picard is reunited with an old flame whose husband's experiments threaten to disrupt time.

I guess I'll start casting my vote on the second day, in the hopes it won't get lost among the wrestling tournaments.

I'll go with Code of Honor since I vaguely remember that one.

Sorry, for not voting last round but most, not all, but most of season 1 I have a hard time recollecting. Though my favorite episode from season 1 is the one titled Skin of Evil with that black goo alien guy who looks like oil. And of coarse it's memorable because:

SPOILERS:

Tasha Yar dies :(

END OF SPOILERS

My other favorite from season 1 is the one when Q offers Riker to become a member of the Q continium.

Yeah, season 1 was kinda weak. The series, IMO took off during its 3 season. You'd be hard pressed to find a better TV cliffhanger than Best of Both Worlds 1 and 2. I remember seeing that episode, completley oblivious that it's hour was almost up. When Riker said, "Mr. Worf...Fire," and the screen flashed "To Be Continued", I thought I was gonna die before the start of season 4.

I'll with The Battle and Datalore. Datalore wins for two reasons.

1) One of the funniest, IMO, moments in Star Trek was when Data had on a beard.

2) Lore was THIS close to killing Wesley. ;)

Since everyone is having trouble remembering episodes, I'll start posting a 30 second preview for each episode.

BTW, your comments lead me to ask this: Why do alot of people hate Wesley? I've always liked him and don't understand why his characte is hated by a lot of people.

When you think about it, he was a very important character. I mean, in the beginging Picard hated kids, but it was Wesley who made him to start not hating kids anymore.
