I don't have much to say about Blood Rage (a.k.a. Nightmare at Shadow Woods), but this forum is stagnating. It's an obscure slasher from the '80s about a psychopath who escapes from a mental institution to kill his twin. The plot is abounding with twists, but I'll leave it at that. The gore is gelatinous (although I think my version is cut), the pace is fleet, and the acting is above average. It had two theatrical runs, each under a different title. If you dig on cheesy "dead teenager" soirées, it would behoove you to give this one a whirl.

Funnily enough, I was just thinking about this one last night while watching The Initiation (the two films share some similarities). I saw this little flick ages ago and my video store has since lost their one and only copy. I'd like to see again sometime though. As far as I can remember, it was a pretty decent flick.

I own a copy of this movie and I think it's fairly entertaining despite being really really really bad. There's not much to the movie, it's a usual cheesy as hell 80s horror film that really is only worth watching once. It was entertaining and I guess it was worth the four bucks.

I'm not exactly a slasher nut, but I've visited Hysteria before. Great site.

I've seen a ton of slashers and love every cheesy part of them, but I've never seen Blood Rage. The plot sounds similar to Madhouse.

Sounds a bit like The Mark Of Cain, which is another creepy "mad twin" on the loose flick.
