The Warriors to be remade

The 1979 cult classic "The Warriors" is going to be remade. It will be directed by Tony Scott. The screenplay will be by Terrence Winter, a writer for "The Sopranos." (Also, MTV is supposedly attatched to this project too). No word on whether this new version will take place in NYC too.

No casting decisions has been made, but if MTV is behind it, I'm sure they'll find a way to load it up with rappers and pop stars so they'll have an instant soundtrack to hype on the channel.

Looks like they have the original screenwriter David Shaber back... But it's not Walter Hill directing so I'm sure it will won't be close to as good the original

i sincerly hope MTV has fucking NOTHING to do with the remake if there is one

that would kill The Warriors for many of us

MTV should be shut down for the damage they have already done to our culture with all of this pop shit they've been pounding into us the last several years...

i know the eminim /ja rule comment was meant to be a joke

but coming from MTV it would not surprise me at all.....


maybe if that is the case...the baseball furies will pop up and beat the shit out of them all.......that would be nice......


there are ways for the warriors to be remade and still be a great movie....but i don't see it happening..

There's always an up side to godawful remakes.

The Starsky & Hutch movie meant that the original series was released on DVD so a Warriors retread will undoubtedly lead to a special edition DVD of the original.
